Happy hump day guys!⠀
So I was out at Lesmurdie Falls yesterday scouting out a location for an upcoming engagement session. I got to the bottom of the falls by walking along the brook instead of following the main path. On my way back, I saw a path veering off to the left and upwards, and I figured that I should probably follow the main path instead seeing that it should be easier, and off I went!⠀
This path steadily got steeper, windier, and more slippery. I started to realise that maybe this isn't the main path after all, but hey, it might be a shortcut!⠀
So I pushed on, huffing and puffing, sweating bucketfuls. Soon I started getting lightheaded, but there's nowhere to sit and rest, so I continued my ascent. Finally found this rocky outcrop for me to hang onto and rest. Turning around I can see that there's no way I can make the descent back to where I started as it's just way too steep. There I was, head dizzy and vision blurry, thinking that the climb is going to continue getting worse, worried that I'll pass out, wondering whether I should text my wife my coordinates to make things easier for the search party. I probably stayed there for a good 5-10 minutes, trying not to die. Finally recovered enough to resume the climb.⠀
Lo and behold, turns out I'm already at the top, and the main path is literally less than 10 steps away, hidden behind a bush. Yeah.... So much fail and drama for the day. :P #EpicFail#INeedToWorkOut ⠀
By the way, if you're the lovely couple in this photo remember to drop me an email so I can send the photo to you! :)
What a profound statement on what looks to be a profound week for me. My mom is now on a ventilator and cannot breath on her own any longer. I’ve believed 100% that God would heal her and get ALL the glory and because He’s still in the miracle business and shows up often at the 11th hour, I’m clinging to the hope that she can pull through. The logical side of my brain is preparing me for the inevitable. I love this quote by MLK Jr because life goes on and we must live each day by creating our legacy. Life is hard, life is messy, life can kick the wind out of you, but I must move forward, no matter what! My mom knew I had big goals and she wanted that for me and my family.
I’ll shout from the rooftops if we get our miracle! I’ll keep you all posted. Thanks for your prayers, it’s the only thing lifting me above my circumstances. .
