For anyone who doesn’t have friends or family this thanksgiving you’re always welcome at ichiran. Enjoy your favorite ramen while enjoying the peace and serenity provided to you by two walls and a bamboo curtain. Happy thanksgiving eve everyone. #ichiran#ramensunday
First thing's first: Ramen! There was an Ichiran nearby when I got hungry so I stopped in. If you're not familiar, @ichiranjp is a famous Japanese chain ramen restaurant known for its "faceless" waitstaff. You order your ramen from a ticket booth outside, find an empty seat, and behind the half curtain all you can see of your waiter is a pair of disembodied hands and his/her voice. It's a super-trippy experience!⠀
They specialize in tonkotsu ramen. I love Ichiran because it's inexpensive (total was less than $9 USD) and very fast service. Some people find it very anti-social, but I love not having to deal with anyone and just eat eat eat! I would go to Ichiran all the time if only they had one in Denver. (They already have a location in NYC.)⠀
This bowl of ramen was way cheaper and way better than so many bowls I've had in the past. Long live Ichiran!
