Time to get back to journaling daily. What does your journal look like? Right now I’m using a graphing composition book. I love it because I can draw, design, and write all in one place. I don’t divide the book up before hand because some days I write a sentence and others I write a novel. I do portion off a piece of each page for my to-do list that is more of an on-going thing than a daily list. Whatever doesn’t get done today will keep for tomorrow. 🙂
The one thing that I don’t like about the composition book is that my micron pens bleed through, so I do all my writing and drawing in pencil. 🤷🏻♀️
My latest school assignment was to create a poster about the Finnish Civil War that took place 100 years ago. I didn't want any way to "take sides" or argue whose actions in war were justified and whose weren't. I wanted to tell the story of the female soldiers who broke free from the traditional roles of women and took brave steps towards the equality of men and women today.
Here’s how I’ve been doing my color tests. I scan my original sketch, print it out a few times on one sheet of watercolor paper & paint in a few options. I still haven’t mastered this process, I’m always in a rush to start the #painting , so i don’t do enough layering, but it definitely helps to have a plan ☺️ #illustration#fantasyart#girlart#popsurrealism
