⭐️To succeed you must believe in yourself ⭐️
🤸♂️ You must set yourself reasonable, realistic and reachable goals = satisfaction of progress. If you make goals too big you may not achieve them = disappointment.
🏃Stop putting things off - "oh I'll do it later", "I'll start eating better tomorrow. The longer you delay, the longer it takes to reach your goals.
🏋🏻♀️ If things don't go the way you planned - move forward! We must learn from mistakes and embrace the journey. -
🤸♂️ Don't set yourself a time frame. Let your journey be a lifestyle. Take things steadily and figure out what works for you. -
🏃Have belief in yourself. Self doubt with kill your ambition. -
🏋🏻♀️ When you achieve something allow yourself to feel a sense of accomplishment. -
🤸♂️You don't need an expensive gym membership to start achieving your goals. You can workout/exercise anywhere. With your own body weight (no equipment needed) ..................... ➖
Guess who just got back from her first day of college! Soon I'll be all qualified and ready to turn my passion into my career. My overall goal-although a little vague-is help people fall in love with treating themselves right! Bring it on 💪💪
Just doing whatever I can at the moment and making conditioning more of a priority now.
Also, not to brag but ive often been likened to Mayweather......sans money/ lavish lifestyle, good looks or......... boxing skill.......wait?
Today was a good day! 115kg bench for 4 sets of 4 (final set shown) which is an all time PR and this morning I weighed in the lowest I've been since March.
But on the commute to the gym I was thinking about the training I was about to do (as I do every day in the car) and thoughts start to creep in "You've never lifted this before, your elbow is a bit sore again, you're a bit sluggish after work, that low weigh-in today might impact strength levels..."
Often when we are about to venture into new territory in our training we start to make excuses for why we might fail before we even attempt.
But you must ask yourself, "why do I train hard?"
You train to force adaption. Adaption drives progression. And progression is simply being able to do something you couldn't do before.
So essentially you train in the hope that opportunities arise to attempt performances you have not achieved yet.
You have to develop a mentality that you don't fear the unknown, but rather embrace it. And if you fail? Well then repeat the process until the opportunity presents itself again.
Isn't that why you train hard? So you can become better? If so, why fear the opportunity to test if your training has payed off?
Comment if you can relate to anything in this post or tell me what strategies you use when attempting new PR's.

There is nothing worse when you go in somewhere and order a chicken salad and are handed up a bowl of leaves with a few pieces of chicken 🙅♀️ sometimes even having to ask for extra 🙏 On the flip side there is nothing better than ordering one and been handed basically a bowl of meat like above 🤤 Possibly the nicest chicken salad I've eaten out 👌 "Louisiana style" Warm Chicken salad with Beetroot, Apple , Red onion, Celery and Red Cabbage Slaw. gorgeous menu everything looked fab but unfortunately I could only choose one 😂 Highly recommend this spot in Kilkenny, "Marble city bar" and thanks to all for the recommendations , so many nice spots to choose from in Kilkenny. Excuse to head back again soon 🙌
Me: Mam... this road is unusually quiet. I want to do something.
Me: it will be dangerous. Are you ready to dance with death?
Me: it'll be fun. We're going to take a picture in the middle of the main road.
Mammy: I have to pee.
Me: hold it in! We have to seize this moment! Carpe diem!
Mammy: we'll be hit by a truck.
Me: I FEEL SO ALIVE!
Thanks for taking the picture, mama 💗
📚New Blog post on Short VS Long Term Results.. Which should we focus on? I feel the industry still has a lot of 'short term' diet plans that the general public will think work. As fitness professionals and enthusiasts I feel we have a responsibility to dispell this. Anyone who has trained for a prolonged period of time knows the hard work, knowledge and patience required to see lasting results! Link in my bio!😊👍
