I was addicted to drugs.

Today was a good day! 115kg bench for 4 sets of 4 (final set shown) which is an all time PR and this morning I weighed in the lowest I've been since March.

But on the commute to the gym I was thinking about the training I was about to do (as I do every day in the car) and thoughts start to creep in "You've never lifted this before, your elbow is a bit sore again, you're a bit sluggish after work, that low weigh-in today might impact strength levels..."

Often when we are about to venture into new territory in our training we start to make excuses for why we might fail before we even attempt. 
#
But you must ask yourself, "why do I train hard?"
#
You train to force adaption. Adaption drives progression. And progression is simply being able to do something you couldn't do before. 
#
So essentially you train in the hope that opportunities arise to attempt performances you have not achieved yet. 
#
You have to develop a mentality that you don't fear the unknown, but rather embrace it. And if you fail? Well then repeat the process until the opportunity presents itself again.
#
Isn't that why you train hard? So you can become better? If so, why fear the opportunity to test if your training has payed off?

Anyway smashed lower body tonight with some high volume squats, deadlifts and some accessory work๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ feeling good and getting my strength back and when this block is over I'll be the strongest I've ever been๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ

I am extremely happy. #rackpulls of 110kg too. I'm loving how much stronger I'm getting on this bulk. Who wants abs hahaha I'd rather guns and quads. Skinny is out lol. I'm aiming for Amazonian. My mindset has completely changed. Gained SOME sort of size over the last year , happy with the progress for a bloke who eats in a surplus on and off (not always consistent) with food intake ,BUT it looks like alot of Pizza , Pasta and good meats are starting to show ๐Ÿ˜† you do not need majority of supplements to grow , just provide your body with a surplus ( more food then needed to maintain ) , only supplements I take is the odd BCAA, very rare Whey Shake but mostly a pre workout ! When looking to change body composition, it's not about chasing a number on the scales with low calories and endless cardio. It's about building lean tissue which in turn will lower body fat giving you the physique you desire. This was very evident with Graham with no drastic calorie reductions,no hours of cardio and only  3 kg difference between the pictures but a clear improvement on body composition.

Our priority throughout the process was maintaining/progressing training performance, ensure recovery was on point, keeping muscle fullness and overall not 'over diet' Graham which can happen when people are looking for the defined look.

Remember your body is a complex system so defining your progress by a simple number on a scales makes no sense. Don't underestimate what your body is capable of with a proper structured plan. .

There is nothing worse when you go in somewhere and order a chicken salad and are handed up a bowl of leaves with a few pieces of chicken ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™€๏ธ sometimes even having to ask for extra ๐Ÿ™ On the flip side there is nothing better than ordering one and been handed basically a bowl of meat like above ๐Ÿคค Possibly the nicest chicken salad I've eaten out ๐Ÿ‘Œ "Louisiana style" Warm Chicken salad with Beetroot, Apple , Red onion,  Celery and Red Cabbage Slaw. gorgeous menu everything looked fab but unfortunately I could only choose one ๐Ÿ˜‚ Highly recommend this spot in Kilkenny, "Marble city bar" and thanks to all for the recommendations , so many nice spots to choose from in Kilkenny. Excuse to head back again soon ๐Ÿ™Œ
