After winning the Afghan war against the soviets a new war began in Kashmir which caused the deaths of 399-765 Pandits in the Kashmir valley, over 20000 deaths in refugee camps and 500000 displacements of Hindus.

Here is a poem Guruji shared in Satsang last Saturday evening, written by the saint Tukaram. “The lord of death says to his messengers, Wherever people are repeating the Name, there you have no power.
Don’t enter a village, don’t go near it, where those who practise the Name may live— God’s discus spins round them in protection.
The Lord stands guard by their door, and Lakshmi, goddess of wealth, gives them powers.
Yama tells his messengers, says Tuka, These devotees of the Lord are the strongest beings on earth.”

What is the difference between Kashmiri Pandits and Rohingyas? The Pandits have been in exile for 27 years and there is no media coverage but as soon as Rohingyas are forced into exile the UN rushes to their aid and they have constant media coverage. Why is the media unjust to Hindus?!
Killing of the demon Jalodbhava. The painting is inaccurate as he was killed by Varaha avatar in what is now Baramulla. After his death the Pandits could settle in the valley where our 5000+ years long heritage began.
The 12 forms of Kali mainly associated with certain aspects of Kashmir Saivism, in which the stages and rhythms of consciousness are affirmed to be the ground reality and are identified with 12 Kali.
This is Kali in her different form is a symbolic consciousness and of the processes whereby recognition and knowledge take place. In this
aspect Kali is taken as to be the innermost essence of reality andthe most appropriate symbol of that essence.
The 12 forms are in association with her operations:
The object world: · Sristi Kali : She present as the first impulse of any
perception. · Rakta Kali : She is the direct perception. · Sthitinasha Kali : She is appeased state where the curiosity of perception had ended · Yama Kali: She winds up the state of thinking and perceiving again and again resides in her own nature.
The cognitive world : · Samhara Kali : the impressions of the objective world appear as faint clouds in a clear blue sky. Here one feels, " I have destroyed duality" · Mrityu Kali: these clouds disappear and one begins to feels oneness. · Rudra Kali : She destroys all remaining doubts and suspicions that hold one back on the path to God consciousness. · Martanda Kali : She absorbs the energies of cognition into Herself.
The Pure subjectivity: · Paramarka Kali: She is that state in which the limited ego, which holds the twelve organs of cognition, is dissolved. · Kalagnirudra Kali : The functions of time still exists. · Mahakala Kali : just like a morsel of food, in one gulp She digests time, along with the totality of the universe. It is here that Kali dances in the universal cremation ground. · Maha-bhairave-ghora-canda Kali : Here the effulgent light of supreme consciousness, responsible for manifesting the subjective, objective and cognitive worlds is held in a state of oneness. It is through this twelve manifestations SHE creates, maintains and destroy the whole universe from within her own nature.
We can never try to allow anything, but see that our nature is by itself allowing. We can never try to accept anything, but see that our nature is by itself accepting. We can never try being happy, but see that our nature is by itself the happiness we strive to reach. We can never try being free, but see that our nature is by itself absolutely free. Free to assume any form, any appearance, any sensation, any feeling, any thought and any perception. -
What is absolute freedom to you?
Is it to have the world behave exactly as you please or is it to be, be the full totality & capacity of life and have every experience that appears, appear to you completely unasked and completely unmasked. For me that is truely what it means to be unlimited and universal, not always choosing and desiring between good and bad (happy or sad). Seing that what we are, life, consciousness - has already approved of the situation at "beforehand" - Before the arising of whatever appearance that is now appearing in and to your awareness, frees ourselves completely from the belief to be something separate and afraid in a world we never made. We are absolute freedom, not straying from any experience, just freely without ever trying - welcoming all that is, to stay in awareness, in consciousness, our kindness, in our shared reality of liberated and unconditional love that we all are, as one, as it, as silence - until all the words falls completely away into the eternal abyss, for as long as it takes for us to completely let go and in this letting go - reclaiming all that we ever longed for. Our realization of this will not happen tomorrow nor did it happen yesterday, it happens in this now, Now! Since everything we have ever experienced or will ever experience - always leads up to this causeless, motionless and timeless Now! ❤
For the lover of truth there comes a time when all identification needs to be let go of - especially the identification with spirituality, being a spiritual entity. Everything must be cast into the well of void, literally everything and only from that moment can we live in not-knowing, welcoming whatever appearance that arises in our pure knowing. In this not knowing state of the mind - we will become aware of all patterns of identification that are linked to our belief of being something limited, personal and separate. We should catch ourselves as soon as the mind turns into a new identity, a new or an old belief and immediately take our stand as awareness, this of course requires no effort whatsoever since one is always awareness, one is always in ones true nature - the guiding light of knowing will reveal that everything that you are aware of, everything perceived is not the essential you. What one essentially are can never be perceived. This is a middle stage in our living-understanding that every lover of truth will stumble upon. From the point of view of awareness we will see the activities of the mind formulate thoughts as for an example - "Now I am spiritual", "Now I am awareness", "Now I am a wife or husband", "Now I am a son or a daughter", "Now I am nothing", "Now I am not-knowing". Now, when this understanding is correct we are going to have to be extremely courageous since we will also notice all the suppressed feelings and bodily sensations that have remained, lingering in the dark for years. This will take time, one needs to be humble and patient. Take your stand as presence, as consciousness and allow whatever appearances to freely arise in you without having any agenda whatsoever against them. Let everything "unfold as it should".
The body is a perfect tool in bringing back the knowable to being knowingly only known in pure knowing.
A bodily sensation or feeling arises in awareness, "out of" awareness and settles into awareness - therefore a sensation or feeling is made out of awareness - our bodies are made out of the knowing in which they appear - therefore the body is consciousness, a celebration of the ever-creative modulations of consciousness - celebrating only itself, in it's grandeur, shining, eternal and sacred vastness.
@vinnarjuna, a long time Jaya Kula student came to our Kripa retreat last month and taught us some sweet #soulmotion moves. He and @sadashivji don't get to see each other too often because they live in opposite Portlands. But when they do...💥!!
An excerpt from Baba Muktanada's autobiography 'Consciousness is Everything' Chapter: Initiation. In honour of the anniversary of his Divyadiksha, on this day in 1947. "The sun had risen slightly in the sky, and the atmosphere was tranquil. I was standing in the corner, to the east, contemplating my
Guru. In the opposite corner stoop Monappa, Gurudev's cook. In the meditation hall, Gurudev was making little humming sounds in his throat, indicating he was about to get up from his meditation on the Self, and in a little while, he came out. He looked a little
different than usual; in fact, I had never seen him looking like this before. He had on a beautiful pair of wooden sandals, as he walked to and fro, to and fro, he was smiling. At one point, he went into a corner and began to chant some secret mantras. Then
he came in front of me and smiled again. He began to sing. He was wearing a white shawl and underneath it only a loincloth and the sandals on his feet. He kept coming and standing in front of me, making his familiar noise of endearment. An hour passed like this.
Then he came near me and touched my body with his. My body was stunned with this new wonder. I stood facing west. Gurudev, his body close to mine, stood opposite. I opened my eyes and saw Gurudev gazing directly at me, his eyes merging with mine, in the Shambhavi Mudra. My body became numb. I couldn't shut my eyes; I no longer had the power to open or close them. The divine splendor of his eyes completely stilled my own eyes. we stayed like this for a while. Then I head the divine sound of Gurudev's 'hunh'. He stepped back a couple of paces, and I partially regained my consciousness. He said, "Take these sandals; put them on." Then he asked, "You'll wear my sandals?" I was amazed but replied reverently and firmly, "Gurudev, these sandals are not to be worn by my feet. Babaji, they are for me to worship all my life. I'll spread my shawl, and then please be so gracious as to put your feet on it and leave your sandals there."
Vigyan Bhairava Tantra - is a spelindid contribution of the school of Kashmir Shaivism to the world of meditation. Perhaps the one and only book you might need as a meditator. It gives you 108 techniques(or non techniques) to achieve absolute cessation of mental turbulence that signal the dawn of awakening to a newer realm within.
It records a conversation between Shakti( the personification of energy) and her consort shiva ( the personification of pure consciousness). In which Shakti asks him what his true essence is, and how can one attain it.
It is a true text of Tantra, by cutting out excess and self indulgence it commands it's readers to shun the vagaries of the mind and it's desires and to root oneself in the field of awareness that one is.
Although originally a shivite tantric text of hinduism, It has deeply inspired and driven Tibetan Buddhism as well as most schools of meditation in the east.
This text became internationally famous after Osho's seminal 1000 page commentary on the text called 'the book of secrets' I would personally recommend that commentary as well for an English speaking audience, and new entrants to meditation.
