It’s not even 5am yet and this is my 2nd coffee 😂 Because it’s gonna be a long day and I’m glad that I’m off the next two days! I want the work day to be over with😏
Btw, Green Mountain Dark magic coffee with the premier caramel protein shake, tastes like a caramel macchiato from Starbucks minus the carbs and sugar 😜 #ketodiet#lowcarb#keto#coffee#workday#premierprotein#eatfat
If you only knew the hell I came from...It's occurred to me that I am well overdue for an introduction and revealing of myself. I'd like to connect with all of you personally rather than exist as some kind of concept or ideology on IG. My name is Jason and I have the great majority of my life battling depression, social anxiety/phobias, and chronic fatigue. I'd even go as far to say that there were many days where I was ready to end my own life! Can you imagine? Smh. Short Story: One day I stepped on the scale and saw 300lbs 😔😫 At that point I was desperate to lose the weight. I wasn't even thinking about feeling good in my own body. It was purely out of vanity. After some research I found out about people who ate low carbs(<100g carbs) and lost all this weight. So I gave this a try by literally only eating eggs avocado and spinach. I knew nothing about how many carbs are in spinach and I just assumed I was eating 50g of carbs when I was really eating maybe 5g per day. Within 2 weeks I suddenly felt this energy I never had before. My body was just buzzing with energy. For the first time my mood was consistently pleasant, no suicidal thoughts, no anxiety, etc. It felt like I was high on something. I consider that day the day I "discovered" nutritional ketosis accidentally. Ive had my ups and downs since then but I'm determined not to return to the person I once was. That was a hell I never want to experience again! From someone who struggles with vulnerability, especially on social media, I hope this story reaches and helps those that need to hear it. Im not selling you any pills, powders, or potions. What I'm selling is influence, motivation, and hope. And it's free! #transformationtuesday#selfie#keto#ketodiet#ketogenic#weightlosstransformation#weightlossjourney#lowcarb#mentalhealth#depression#motivation#fitspo#fasting
Naturopaths are coconuts about coconuts! They are nutrient dense, being loaded with good fats, rich in electrolytes, and high in fibre. The lauric acid (which is a medium chain triglyceride also known as MCT) found in the oil and cream/milk is particularly beneficial in fighting infection from fungi, bacteria and viruses so its particularly useful in boosting immune function and keeping illness at bay. Definitely something to incorporate into your diet if you haven't already!
So we have had a couple of people asking about keto or low carb options for our baked goods. Unfortunately the pies we make cant be addapted to become lower carb mainly because the fillings and pastry togther make it almost impossible.
However... We aim to cater for ANY DIETEY NEED!
therefore we are currently lab testing some new vegan keto bakes.. Introducing the yummy nutty cookie
Only 1.5 net carbs per cookie!! #vega#keto#lowcarb#veganketo#dairyfree#soyfree#glutenfeee#meatfree#veganuary#vegansofistergram#veganfood
A little side track from the usual puppy pictures. Really happy with my progress so far, down over 60 lbs without counting a single calorie or changing exercise habits. Hit my goal weight over 6 months ago and staying there. The ketogenic low carb high fat diet is awesome, next goal is to gain some of the weight back in muscle mass.
Ideaal! Het recept staat online, link in bio😘
Weekly shopping haul. The veggies I use the most, those little bags of avocado where really cheap so SCORE! Cheese, just a little bit of protein as my freezer is full of chicken, butter and cream and my drinks 🙈 hoping I won't have to go back for more for a while 😂
How runners high can help with anxiety and depression:
Now this is going to be a pretty lengthy post. I like to chuck one of these up a week to help people with all aspects of health. Sue me. ———————————————
So a few years ago I was diagnosed with severe anxiety which can lead to depression. I like to be open about it because if I can help just one person I think I’ve done a good job as a human. Rather than being medicated like I’ve seen many do I elected to use exercise as my main means of therapy.
Now when you’re having mental health issues it almost seems like nothing will help. You kind of just hope it’ll end but my biggest tip is be your own hero. I woke up one morning and just said fuck this, I’m going to work on myself until I‘m happy. After doing some research one top tip kept coming up in most of the articles I read. Running.
Now when you run, and push your body to its limit, you experience something called “Runners High” where physiologically, you may experience a sense of euphoria, a feeling of being invincible, and a reduced state of discomfort or pain. So instead of waking up every day and feel the discomfort of living within my own head, I would wake up 45 minutes earlier ...and just go for a run. As my body sprinted, it produced Norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin; and as Webmd explains "Norepinephrine secretion, dopamine, and serotonin have all been shown to help to reduce depression"
Now did I over do it by going for sprints everyday? Probably.. I do feel like an old man now with my knees overusing a treadmill. But guess what also happened?
1. My body was in the best shape it had ever been in.
2. I was able to eat McDonalds without putting on weight. (This is awesome)
3. Clouded thoughts disappeared.
4. My days were spent much much happier.
5. I became myself again.
So do i recommend running every single day? Probably not. But do I recommend it 3-4 times a week, not only for physical health. But mental as well.
