A brotherly love throwback to earlier in the summer, when we were hanging out with our youngest brother, Richard! Jez and Richard were born exactly 2 years and 1 day apart and growing up they seemed more like twins, than not, even sharing a birthday for a few years. Richard is the youngest and he couldn't understand why he had to wait a whole day for cake and balloons!
Because of them being so close in age Jez finds it really hard to not compare himself to Richard, and wants to achieve everything Richard does. It can be hard to explain, but we've muddled through Richard learning to drive, going to uni and getting a girlfriend (who is amazing, and puts up with jez's idea that she is a shared gf!!). But occasionally jez remembers he hasn't quite achieved everything Richard has and it really bothers him, so we work hard to celebrate his achievements, luckily Richard hasn't left uni and thus got a job yet, so Jez is ahead with that one!! All the same, Richard is a massively important part of Jez's life and even from Edinburgh, they speak every day. Impressive, when you have finals looming. 😊

The holidays are my favorite with our #littlebehrs - from preschool Thanksgiving celebrations (and a full turkey dinner with all of the parents/kids - holy chaos) to the homemade paper turkey crafts and cookie decorating/ornament making parties on the weekend. I know it's a crazy busy time of year for most parents, but I. Love. It. All. I'm soaking in each and every moment because I know years from now I'll be looking at that paper turkey made by my four year old (yes I'm hoarding it in his memories box) and bawling my eyes out at how quickly the time has passed. Confession. I already cried finding Hannah's handprint turkey from when she was one! Ain't no shame in my mom game. 😂🍗👨👩👧👦 #gratefulheart for #motherhood
This kid just went up to his toybox, found the drumstick and dug around until he found the matching drum! It's not a toy we play play with often and his toybox is huge! I just watched him to see if he would find it and he did with absolutely no help or verbal cues from me! That's big, really big! He's a smart cookie! #soproud#Lifeisbetterwithyou#theluckyfew#nothingdownaboutit .
P.S. Thank you all for the support last night! I'm overwhelmed with all the kindness! As a disclaimer, my starting weight when we started this journey was 256 and I'm now down go 243. I'm trying to figure out how to start another page to share recipes and my journey, but I'm having no luck. I'm obviously not technically savvy🤷🏼. I'll share recipes on my stories.
