SATURDAY RIDE IS HAPPENING! If you, like us, are sick of this rain and ready to jump back on your bike join us at #livermorecycleryalamo for our community ride! We will have three distances - 25 miles, 32 miles and 48 miles. If you would like to do more, you can add in the mountain. We will meet at the shop at 8:45 and roll at 9am. Weather Underground says 43 and bright sun, so it'll be chilly at the start, 53 by Noon, so layer up! #ride#bikeshop#ilovemybike#alamoplaza#smallbusiness#livermorecyclery#eastbay
Christmas Eve at the shop. There's something about working at a family ran business. Extremely welcoming, warm, understanding, and patient. Working here has been nothing but a party. Support your local bike shop and help those small family shops that hire the best mechanics around to build up and fix your bike so you can stay out riding! Happy holidays everybody. Come stop by the shop for a few hours, we're open till 12! Thanks for all the opportunities. @livermorecyclery @livcyc #livermorecyclery#bikeshop#livermore#christmas
This year alone has been ever increasingly the best year of my life. A couple of weeks ago I recorded my first full length album, and tonight I finally finish building my completely custom Soma Smoothie, I sat down and designed this bike through and through, setting all of the specs to my liking, and overcoming mechanical troubles to make it all work as one unit, but I did. Now all I have left to do is weld myself a damn TI frame ;). Happy happy days. #soma#custom#bikemechanic#livermorecyclery#custombike#fabricator
The guys finished their ride to the top of Mt. Diablo and beat their time from last year. It was Jeff A. First time up, he sailed through the finish line in flying colors.
The Save Mt. Diablo bike challenge purpose is to buy up land around the State Park so developers don't build there. So far the area is plentiful in wild habitats.
When the guys finish they come back to our house for refreshments. Since there was a BBQ at the top of the mountain we hosted dessert. Jan A. Brought mimosa fixings. Celebration was had by all.
As I'm posting this Mike is looking up some of the fellow bikers stats. One guy rode from Pleasant Hill, up the mountain and back. 53 miles total. A 82 year old broke his record from last year. Another guy had his 7 year old in tow.
This goes to show that you're only limitations are self imposed. Breaking boundaries, breaking past records is exhilarating.
Congratulations to Jan A. For being the third to top in the mt. Bike category.
It was a good day on the mountain!
Here goes nothing. Hub dimensions in order to calculate proper spoke length and hub offset to achieve top mechanical performance for re building a 3 cross pattern mavic wheel. Let's hope I'm not off hahaha. #livermorecyclery
