Warming soups (Signature Dragon Bone, Sanuki Udon with Dragon Rib, Sea Cucumber Bak Kut Teh and Natural Pork Belly Slices Soup) to build your appetite, with cooling salads eg. sliced cucumber with sesame sauce and cold tofu with ponzu sauce to refresh your palate, and also yummy little side dishes eg. homemade fried prawn rolls and crispy fish skin to add interest, drinks eg. iced lychee red tea or hot floral tea that complement the meal, and sweet finishes with cold organic beancurd. One of the little bouquets I put together for Venue's very first Farm to Table dinner last night. I kinda love working with flowers and combining them with herbs in this way. 😊 Also, I am humbled and so grateful to be able to do something I love so much as grow beautiful flowers and herbs and unique veggies, and have somebody like Executive Chef John Benton appreciate them so much. It really is icing on the cake. He is a devotee to local food, and a super nice guy to boot! I would say Venue's first Farm to Table dinner was a great success, and in was very fun to be invited to it!

********************* I believe in a food without extremism, where we can be aware of the natural resources of our planet and for that reason, here at home, we rarely consume in a small quantity fish and other foods from the sea. This time the dish was Millet, baked vegetables (pumpkin, carrot, zucchini and onion) and grilled shrimp with garlic on top. Seasoned with coriander (or parsley), little lemon and freshly ground black pepper. I added a bit of tofu on top to bring a tasty texture and my husband added homemade olive oil from our friend from Douro region ❤️ So lucky #macrobiotica#macrobiotics#yinyang#healthychoices#dairyfree#sugarfree#lactosefree#dietamacrobiotica#dietasaudavel#diabeticfriendly#liverdetox#complexcarbs#reguladornatural#comidadeverdade#deraiz#instafood#naturalcooking#slowfood#localfood#wholefood#alimentacaoconsciente#cozinhasustentavel
