Changing my lifestyle has helped me in so many ways physically, emotionally, and socially- but I can't seem to change that mental image of myself. I still see only the things I want to fix, rather than the progress I've made. I was actually anxious about posting this because I was afraid of what people might think, but I shouldn't think like that. My body has become a design project currently two years in the making, and next weekend I put it through it's biggest challenge yet at the Half Marathon. After that, it's onto even bigger and better things!

✅Here's a meal that you can throw together in a matter of minutes.⏱

Salmon kimchi with rice.

3️⃣All you need are 3 ingredients. Yes it’s that simple! Rice is a staple for me so we do occasionally have it leftover. You could use an alternative such as instant rice or cauliflower rice 🍚.

You can mix it all together and ding it in the microwave for 5 minutes or you could mix the salmon with the rice to microwave and have the kimchi cold. Both are good options.

It’s always good to have these little back up meals to minimise poor food choices.

This pic is massive for me. I used to get on a bike and the only time I would see the saddle would be when I was getting on/getting off or falling off 🤕😆. So to have no belly in the way and see so much of the saddle is a HUGE!!!!! progress for me & massive motivation 😁. I have never had such a small belly. Today I attempted a workout that I’ve only done once before. When I did it the first time, I gave it my all for the first 10 minutes and then putted through the last 20 minutes of the workout, even when I knew I could push more. 
But not today. Today I gave it my all. Why did I decide to do a workout that I knew would be more mentally challenging than anything? Because I decided it was time to step outside my comfort zone and try something new for my mind and for my muscles. 
I took it 5 minutes at a time. After every 5 minutes, I’d smile (fake or not) and affirm to myself that I did another 5 minutes added on to what I did before. 
At the end of the workout, @shaunt mentioned that if you had ANY kind of success today, use that as fuel to move forward. My success was simply doing the workout the whole 30 minutes. 
It wasn’t easy. My muscles fought back. But I still accomplished something I thought was impossible. And that in itself is success, my friends. 💕

I don't know if it was just me... but when I was plumper than I am now. I had this huge obsession with comparing myself to other woman. It was one of my biggest downfalls because it was so mentally unhealthy. 
It had gotten so bad that I would even compare my shadows to my friends shadows while we were walking and I would beat myself up about it everytime because I always thought that my shadow was too large or way bigger than my friends.
Comparing yourself to others is not healthy and won't help you in any way. By all means allow others to inspire you but do not compare where you are to where they are. You on two different paths.

As a very active person on my feet at work and training 1-2 x per day my nutritional needs are different from most. Currently trying to make strength gains and build some muscle while staying lean. On the advice of sports nutrition qualified @willfoden. I'm testing 1 serving of carbs (always with protein) post workout. And consuming enough calories to reach these goals and keep my body functioning properly. 
So far, so good. Abs and strength coming through! Not looking to lose weight!
