Nothing good can come of these things.
In fact I'm willing to bet the only thing that will come of these is that people will think you're a pushover.
That they can do what they want to you.
That you're the one that they'll go to to abuse or take advantage of.
Asking permission also only leads to two things.
And for someone who's not paying attention to something that doesn't need attention paid to it to start paying attention to it.
Being the "good one" isn't always the best decision.
If you don't ever take, do, or say what you want.
You'll probably never be what you want either.
Oh my God! I'm officially the lowest I've been in 9 years! I haven't been working out much 1. Last week work schedule was insane 2. Good morning! I didn't end up getting my steps in last night and we were up for a good part of the night with a sick/teething babe. I'm off to a full day of training (read: sitting all day) but instead of dwelling on my "rest day" yesterday, I'm setting myself up for success today! I'm wearing my workout clothes so I can either sneak in a walk at lunch OR come home and hop on the treadmill, packed my own lunch and brought a huge water bottle with me. What are you doing today to set yourself up for success?
As I hope I’ve been straightforward, character creates a foundation upon which your talent and your life can build. If there are cracks in that foundation, you can't build much. That’s why you must first develop within before you can achieve much without. It also impacts others and allows you to build with them. Character provides the opportunity for longevity in any career, any relationship, and any worthwhile goal.
Character is a choice - if you want it, you must develop it. How? Here's what I suggest:
- Don't give up: it takes character to face adversity. If we only do things when we're in the mood or when it's convenient, we aren't going to develop. The core foundation of character is doing what you don’t want to do to get what you want. Every time you face adversity and come through it with your core values affirmed and your integrity intact, your character becomes stronger.
- Do the right thing: a rather obvious one, but why is it so hard? It doesn’t come naturally to any of us. It’s not easy to do the right thing when there are shortcuts around every corner, whether it's time, work effort, or money saving. However, it's these moments when character becomes strong.
- Take control: many tend to place blame on their circumstances. While your circumstances are beyond your control, your character is not. Your character is always your choice. It can't be given to you. Commit yourself to its development because it will protect your talent. Start by making a choice every day that will strengthen your character.

How does it look? A blend of veggies for a morning dose of cleansing fibrous greens. I blended celery, fennel, kale, cucumber, a generous knob of ginger, the juice of 1 lemon, then the liquid base was half water and half coconut water, oh and some ice to make it more palatable!! The colder the better for this kind of drink 😜😜
