When you’ve ordered way too much amazing food to (a)fit it all into shot and (b)make it look pretty 🙈 @fumomcr did not disappoint tonight. The food was arguably some of the best tapas style food we’ve both ever had (5/5) the service was exceptional... bar a minor mishap with coats at the end (4/5) and the Vibe was mega luxe (4/5) 👏🏽 we’ll be back!

Keep calm and pretend it’s not Monday by enjoying a cocktail @exchangelounge #MCRFeast
#OntheTable Clover Cup cocktail 🍸 Swipe left for more pictures. We stuffed our faces with croquettes of the day and Camembert, tom yum soup with noodles, ‘good vibes’ burger, chocolate brownie and bread and butter pudding
It’s a tough job but someone has to do it. Well that’s what we told ourselves when we headed to eXchange Food and Drink Lounge to sample the new menu. Quite honestly we could have ordered everything on offer but we followed the advice of our lovely waiter who help guide us towards the croquettes packed with melted cheese and pancetta and the mouthwatering chocolate brownie (our highlights of the meal). But no feast is complete without a cocktail or two. We would recommend the Clover Cup cocktail to get the food party started 🎉

Happy Friday everyone! 🎉 If you are around the Manchester area this weekend and fancy Turkish cuisine, give Cafe Istanbul a try. Ever since our trip to Istanbul almost 4 years ago, I’ve developed a mild obsession with Turkish food. It has come to symbolise a relatively healthier alternative to my usually greasy food shenanigans, by representing an array of dishes that use simple, minimal spices, yet are still so flavoursome. To this end, @cafeistanbulmcr is one of the best in the city.
For starters, I had Feta Cheese Parcels (£4.90, swipe right for pics). This could make it into my greasy yet tasty food list as it was deep fried pastry filled with feta cheese, spinach, egg and herbs, a melt-in-your-mouth combo, yum!
Hubsy got his usual Iskender kebab (£15.90) - a combination of chargrilled lamb fillet, spit-roasted lamb and chicken, placed on a bed of pita bread, doused in yogurt and tomato sauce. Its a bit bland for my taste but hubsy loved the one he had in Turkey, developed an odd loyalty towards it and refuses to try anything else 🙄
Pictured above is my main course Lamb Casserole (£13.90) - I really fancied a non-dry item with gravy that I could have with rice, this was perfect! Diced succulent lamb pieces, slow-cooked with herbs, tomatoes and peppers, oozing taste and without that dreaded lamb smell 🙏🏼 If you try it, hope you like it as much as we do. If not, sowieeee 😇
Whilst I'm sat here at work with my sad looking soup I'm dreaming of a decent burger. I pretty much go for chicken burger on a menu if it's there and I'm trying to branch out but I just really like them and judge a place on the quality of their burgers too. This one from Gasworks won my approval with the choice to go for singe, double or triple burger (It was a struggle to finish the double) and the prices aren't too bad either 👌🍔🍟 @thegasworksfs
