I felt like I hadn't done much this year until I started looking for my photos. I certainly fell short in all of the plans I had for this year, and compared to some of my friends, I did practically nothing. However, I'm proud of what I did manage. I made 6 new costumes this year, updated one, brought back one of my favorites, helped one of my best friends put together his own Homemade Symbiote Spidey cosplay, assisted @spencer_vs_cosplay with his Kanan build and will continue to collaborate with him on it until he is Rebel Legion worthy, got to learn how Stormtrooper armor goes together, began modeling and doing events for @dctemagicalmemories again, got thrown into a Snow White 80th Anniversary shoot last minute, and I began doing boudoir shoots. For a full time student driving an hour to school five days a week, costuming designing for my first show at school, working evenings and weekends across three jobs, and managing a children's choir, I think I managed pretty well. I passed all of my classes too, I might add. Even if it was by the skin of my teeth in one of them. I am trying to be very deliberately and methodical about my 2018 projects. I've dropped back to being a part time student so that I can focus on my mental health and hopefully take on a 4th job. I have a lot of personal goals I'm working toward in the new year, and projects that excite me and I can put the dedication into to be truly proud and collaborating with likeminded people is one of my top priorities.

I was challenged by @shapeshiftingprincess to pick my three favorite cosplays from 2017. I did 5 new cosplays this year, so I figured I’d pick from those five. 😁 And in case you don’t read the whole caption, I’ll ask my question here: ❓❓What was your favorite of my five new cosplays?❓❓ Leave a comment below!! Here are my personal favorites and my reasons why:
1️⃣ nWo Macho Man - I know, you were expecting Mime Joker...we’ll get to him. Macho gets the top spot because of how much fun I had with @joelxero as “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan at @spookyempire!! Macho has always probably been my favorite to do at cons, because it’s so much fun (despite how draining it is) to do the voice and see the smiles on people’s faces. Getting to do it with Hulk was so much fun!!
2️⃣ Mime Joker - So much fun and is still someone y’all like seeing. This was fun because it was unique and a different version of the Joker. Got a lot of plans for 2018 (we’ll get to those next week) so I don’t know how many old favs will appear next year, but Mime Joker will be one!!
3️⃣ Phantom - This was one I thought of weeks before MCTB, and I’m very happy that I did the Phantom. It was something a little different, I had never cosplayed a character from a musical before and wasn’t sure how people were going to react. Thankfully people liked it, and a couple of you really, really love the musical and seeing the Phantom at a con meant a lot to you. It’s moments like that, that make me love doing this!! •
For those keeping track, the other two new ones were Sting and Santa Joker. I was gonna tag a few peeps, but if you’re reading this, consider this your invitation to get in on the challenge. 😁 (I always feel like I’m annoying and burdening people by challenging them. 🤷♂️ I love you all, so I don’t want to annoy you by tagging you in these things. 😘) 📸 credits: @alicenzombieland and @dal_gal
Here's a photo of @snerickk and I as casual (closet cosplay) BB and Raven! We decided to dress up last minute and people seemed to like it. Bless @_picolo for inspiring these awesome (and super comfy) designs. Photo is by @shyturtlecosplay -- thanks guys! 🤙✨
