Environmental Scientist, Hazardous Materials
I partake in, collaborate on, and execute various projects relating to hazardous materials that may be a component of buildings in which we live, work and play. My work includes identifying and sampling materials that may potentially pose a health risk, coordinating the removal or repair of hazardous materials, as well as helping to create the appropriate supporting documentation. In a nutshell, I help ECOH’s clients achieve compliance with Ontario’s Regulations/guidelines. The best part is that I get to meet and work alongside all sorts of different people.
After high school I went to the University of Western Ontario for a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree (double major: Environmental Science & Biology), worked for a few years in the ecology and green energy fields, then decided to attend Conestoga College for a 1-year Environmental Engineering Applications Post-Grad program.
I admire the ancient Persian queen Atossa, who is said to have been ambitious, politically influential and well respected in her time. Queen Atossa learned to read and write, and facilitated the education of others. She ended up marrying multiple times after her husbands’ throne was either usurped and/or her husband was murdered. She out-lived all her husbands, and survived a cancerous tumour (allowing someone to cut it straight from her breast!). Additionally, Queen Atossa played a critical role in getting the crown inheritance to bypass Darius The Great’s eldest son in favour of her own son, Xerxes, a feat nigh unheard of in ancient times.
There is much we don’t know about Queen Atossa, and even some debate as to the truth of the information have about her. Nevertheless, I admire her for her alleged ability to move forward in the face of grief and despair, play her cards such that they would have the greatest impact, and use her position and heritage to her advantage.

Are you well prepared for the unexpected? I was so happy to see #CAA today! I have used their service 3 times this year so far.... My entire family also has this service but some never use it.... but they know that it’s BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. Aren’t we funny though? We look at all types of insurance the same way... “I don’t ever get sick”....”I have never been to the hospital”.....”I am too young”.....”I am too old”.... “I don’t need it”.... BUT guys!!!! ACCIDENTS HAPPEN all the time!! Maybe not today to you, but make sure you are prepared for it if tomorrow comes and you are faced with a situation. #insurance#myloveones#benefits#financialfreedom#finances
For many years I suffered from a condition called "Dysmennorhea" (severe #menstrual cramping) in which I'm sure many women can relate to. I would be paralyzed from the waist down when the excruciating pain would hit. I turned to meditation focusing on my breathing taking long deep breaths so my brain waves would start to slow down. Meditation is truly a cure for pain and helps me in my daily practice to ease the tension away. #meditation .
I would highly recommend you come join me in my next class and workshop...announcement to be made soon!
With the new mortgage guidelines approaching in January 2018, many existing homeowners are refinancing their mortgages to complete renovations in their homes to at least enjoy their existing homes while they still live there.
A refresh in your home might be worth considering!
If you could update anything in your home right now, what would it be? I would like more closet space!
