Great scientist Thomas Edison once said, “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” In every person’s life, there comes a time when you just want to give up. When you have been so down that you can’t take anymore. But success comes only to those people who are ready to stand up, try again and keep trying. Today, we bring to you one such story of a legend who fought hard to make it big and became an inspiration for generations to come. Every football fan has heard the name Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He is loved and adored not just for the great football player that he is but also for his intense personality off field. The story of Zlatan has all the ingredients of a modern fairy-tale. It is the story of a boy who shook off the shackles of poverty and discrimination to become one of the world's great footballers. The son of a tough Croatian mother and hard-drinking Bosnian father, he grew up in the Malmo ghetto of Rosengard and his life there was anything but privileged. His parents broke up when he was two and his household was a battleground. And he stole. In-fact he stole a lot - bikes, sweets, cars, anything and everything. Ibrahimovic also found doors closing as he tried to pursue a career as a professional footballer. Even when he joined the city's professional club, Malmo FF, at the age of 17, the parents of one of his team-mates petitioned to have him thrown out. Something changed around the age of 18. He began to realise football could offer him a future, a path away from his difficult upbringing. Ajax saw off interest from Arsenal, AS Monaco and Verona to sign the player from Malmo. After that came spells - and titles - at Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Barcelona and Paris St-Germain. And the rest is history. So, next time when you feel like giving up, stand up and tell yourself ‘Try one more time’. Remember the quote from the movie The Dark Knight – “The night is darkest just before the dawn”. #MotivationalMonday#WorthyWeeks#KahaaniFC

Tell me tell me! ……………………………………………………
My water 💦 consists of interchangeable ingredients like 🍋 lemon, key lime, cucumber 🥒, mint 🌿 grapefruit and/or orange. I call it my "spa water" ………………………………………………
26|06|2017 • #ManCrushMonday#MotivationalMonday Couple more days and my baby will be graduating and joining the Immigration Department as a Immigration Officer. His dedication and drive has shown me never settle for less. I watch him get up 4 in the morning for physical training and head out for classes at 8 right after. I'm so proud of this young man, if no one else is on the side line cheering you on I am. #1supporter 💝
If you ask me what's my biggest pride?
I would say, being a woman
If you ask me what has been my biggest challenge?
I would say being a brown woman.
Yes, it has been quite a journey. Sometimes, I feel why we are even trying to fight this battle in a world that is obsessed with white skin. Then it flashes me, that this battle is for all those girls who are my sister's, friends, soon to be daughters and grand daughters or just women. We need to wipe this taboo from the society and you might be one of the liberated people and say, brown skin doesn't matter to me. But here's my question to you, what have you done unusual and out of your comfort zone to practice this thought? Maybe you have, so please do that more. Maybe you haven't, please begin. Maybe you never gave it a thought, please give it some. The world around us is constantly building walls and as they construed a beautiful family, relationship, career or life, let's together shun away from being a part of this world that believes in using your trait to be a previldge card.
P.S- Yours truly invited to be a part of an international organisation that enables brown women across the world. Sounds exciting? Ahh, am freaking out here. So sharing a small feature that came up on HomeGrown India, a month back. 🌼
