This is probably my most favorite part of the park. This sculpture was donated by the state of North Carolina for the 100th anniversary of the first flight to represent the moment the flyer first took off! There were 5 witnesses here on December 17, 1903, three of which were from the life saving station (today known as the Coast Guard!) (The witnesses are part of the sculpture just not in this particular photo). #wrightbrothers#wrightflyer#NPS#findyourpark#history#wrightbrothersmemorial#obx#outerbanks
The man behind everything I do 💕 he challenges me, gives me the motivation to move ahead, pushes me to do better and be MORE then I am! Plus his heart and drive for God has me swoon! My dad would be so proud of this man for leading his wife this way! ❤️ 10 years strong babe 😘
Strollin’ along the refuge, I was hopeful to catch a glimpse of a black bear or red wolf. But it being winter, was really just hoping for any view of cool wildlife. Boom. Red tail hawk staring me down. Identity confirmed by our in-house consultant, Paul Senner (Associate Population Biologist, Lincoln Park Zoo).
❄️ Brrr, it’s been too icey for way too long here on the Outer Banks. We need warmth + sunshine 🌞. But on the bright side, our stylist Kendall, @saltyhairstylist has a bunch of openings! Click the link in bio or call us @ 252.255.5100.
