Stumbled upon this store after grabbing a bite at Milly’s Empanadas. It’s right next door and we were so intrigued by the name, “Asian Spices.” YUMMY! The store is owned and operated by a family who emigrated from Pakistan. It’s a twist on our usual Miami bodegas, selling Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, and Middle Eastern spices and products. They offer pre-cooked food like homemade kebabs, jars of grape leaves, different juices, candies, and more. I hear their halal meat is phenomenal. Miami has a little bit of everything. 😊😋 #BeyondSoBe
'Copan Chai' begins it's tour around the Outer Hebrides this Thursday 19th Oct!
A collaboration between myself and @purvai_project @anlanntair exploring the oral histories of Asian Hebrideans in Lewis & Harris. ‘Copan Chai’ is a fully functioning Chai Stall which invites you to drink a Copan masala chai and listen to the stories, journeys and memories of the Asian families that settled in the Outer Hebrides.
Copan Chai will be launching this Thursday (Diwali) at @anlanntair and will be touring across the Island – more details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/490723611307580/
