When Renata and I met 15 years ago, we only knew 2 things...we were both tall and we both loved to sing. I remember admiring Renata's relationship with God and how she used to play all gospel music and I didn't know any of it. I'm so grateful for our friendship. There are few people that you get to meet in life that you can truly depend on and Renata is most definitely one of them. I know that if I need her at 3am, she will come. I know that if I need to cry, laugh, or just to vent, she's there. Renata has stayed by my side through so much and she's been around for the birth of two of my children and she has encouraged me through my HIV diagnosis. She's been around through many relationships, divorce, and marriage. She is so much more than a friend to me. She is my sister and blood couldn't have made us any closer. I thank God for allowing me to be around for yet another one of Renata's birthdays!
@renatajay143 I love you to life and I pray that your birthday weekend is more than you expect it to be!
I was always that corny young dude who had dreams of marrying his best friend just to say "I married my best friend." I had a long, rough, tough and painful road, but I actually did get to marry my best friend. Yet, the most amazing part is that I didn't just marry my best friend, but I get to minister with her as well. Her story, strength, life, personality, spirit and love is nothing short of miraculous. We laugh together, we cry together, we have fun together and we LIVE together! ------------------------------------------------------------------
Some may see live and think "duh, they obviously live together." But the live I mean is not a physical place. We are not here just existing. We're here loving and enjoying the great things God has blessed us all with the opportunity to enjoy. Life is an amazing journey meant to be shared and experienced with others. I'm just ecstatic that my first mate is on board for the journey together! ------------------------------------------------------------------
P. S. If you need professional photos, you must hit my guy @seanlassiter up. He got us right for the road we are traveling! •
Meet the face behind Poppy and Pal | Hey there! I'm Trish, and I am the Owner & Operator of Poppy and Pal. I created Poppy and Pal as a way to use my hands and my brain to do something that I actually love. The art of creating a physical product is soothing and seeing a finished product is a great feeling.
In case I haven't bored you to death already and you're still actually reading this, I'll let you in on a little background info about me and this little business of mine. I'm a married momma of two (Ava: 5years & Charlie: 11 months) who works full time, has this little side hustle, and has big dreams of one day being my own full time boss. Or hitting the Mega Millions. Or the Powerball. Whichever, I'm not picky.
The name Poppy and Pal comes from one of my biggest inspirations, my Poppy (grand pop). He would often call me his "pal", and all of his closest friends were called his pals. Sadly, he passed away when I was 13, but his imprint is forever in my heart. My Poppy passed along his red hair, freckles, sometimes firey temper, appreciation for the ocean, a deep love of coffee, and the uncanny ability to fall asleep after drinking as much of said coffee as i’d like. :) He always told me I could do whatever I wanted [in life] as long as I put my mind to it. And that's just what I intend on doing! Here's to you, Pal! 😘☕️🤘 #momtrepreneur#phillyjawnpreneur#pal#poppyandpal#sidehustle#rockingthesidehustle#shopsmallbusiness#meetthemakers#thisisalittleawkward#puttingitoutthere#makeitwerk#redhairdontcare 💁 #freckleface#nofilterjustkiddingthereisafilter#whatelsedothecoolkidssay#visitoursite 👉 www.poppyandpal.com
There is only one Vindetta Palmer and she is simply amazing. I lost my grandmother two years ago and she did the obituary booklets. She was very patient, took the time to comfort our family and was available when we needed her. The booklets were beautiful and worth every penny. You can contact her on fb or DM me and I'll contact her. She doesn't have a page with pictures of her work out of respect for the deceased. Just trust me on this one. #PhillyJawnpreneur#PhillyJawnpreneurMovement#phillyjawn

I've known Lakeisha all my life and I trust her with everything I own. So yes, I trust her with your children. She began her entrepreneurial journey in 2011 and opened Priceless Times Childcare located at 2501 W. Alleghany Ave 19132 and she said "It was the best decision I made thus far" She has a love and passion for children and still finds time to be an amazing mother and wife. This woman right here is one of the greatest friends anyone could ever asked for. I have known her for over 13 years and never once have we had an argument or anything catty as usually expected by females. When I first met Renata, we were members of the same church and we sang on the choir together. That's our foundation. Built on God. She's loved me while I was in crazy relationships, while I was single, while I was depressed, while I was broke, while I was broken... She's shown her love for me when I didn't even love myself. She prayed for me when I thought God wouldn't listen to me. And I'm sure she's prayed me through some stuff I don't even know about.
We are now taking this road of entrepreneurship together. And not only that, she created shirts with acronyms to support and inspire people like me who are living with HIV. Renata, I love you to life! God may not have given me a sister by birth, but He definitely gave me one by His blood! 😙
