THIS IS SO IMPORTANT !!
My last post kinda blew yo & in came many different point of views & opinions..
So I’d like to post this for both sides.
This girl makes a strong point.. my fellow Asians (can I word it like that ? 😂) we NEED to start speaking up for ourselves & others! Have the uncomfortable discussions with Asians you’ve come across that are Anti black! Make our OWN movements that do not just copy from others !!
I feel your pain & struggles. I understand your arguments and points. I really do. I feel the same frustration as you when ppl brush off Asian racism. But we need to call it out WITHOUT being anti black or offensive !
POC solidarity will most likely never happen but oh man I wish it could . 😕💙
“This major research grant will allow North Carolina Central University to engage in transformative research that examines health disparities and identifies real-world solutions that strengthen health care for minority populations throughout our state." -- Margaret Spellings, University of North Carolina President
Recently, The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced a $16.3 million award to North Carolina Central University for a new Research Center in Minority Institutions (RCMI). This is a big deal for a number of reasons. For one, this is the largest annual grant amount received for a non-Title III grant by NCCU and it is also the largest funding for a single principal investigator on the campus.
According to @HBCUBuzz, the mission and focus of the RCMI are elevating the university's health disparities research program, advancing and strengthening the research infrastructure at @nccueagle for conducting health disparities research, fostering and preparing the next generation of minority biomedical researchers, and supporting various research projects across campus.
@nccueagle is one of seven minority-serving higher education institutions that received this award. Congratulations to North Carolina Central University.

We're a bunch of people with dreams, carrying infectious energy and drive that'll lead us toward our end goals. Humble beginnings start somewhere and I can't wait to look back at this photo ten years from now in a position where all our hard work and goals will have been hit. Colton/Rialto, we represent! uhh it’s a no from me. look, you can wear a dress or costume of any culture, but only if you respect it. THIS is not respectful. looks like imperial emblems to me (not 100% sure) but those patterns are most definitely chinese and should most definitely not be used to show off ur titties. poc can appropriate and disrespect other poc.
