The reason this matters is because maintenance and carrying charges for these kinds of buildings tend to be significantly higher because an additional portion of monthly rent is paid to the original landowner on top of monthly maintenance charges. This unit has around $5 per square foot in monthly maintenance charges whereas the average post-war full-service amenities building goes for around $2.50 to $3.25 per square foot in monthly carrying costs.
