All those who love Nature she loves in return, and will richly reward, not perhaps with the good things, as they are commonly called, but with the best things of this world-not with money and titles, horses and carriages, but with bright and happy thoughts, contentment and peace of mind. -John Lubbock

What a day! Hiking to Pulpit rock, Preikestolen and a bit higher. The actual Pulpit Rock stayed a little further down and is not visible in this photo. Yesterday it was rainy and windy, hiking was strictly not recommended. Today was worth waiting for.
We visited a couple of breweries in Decorah over the weekend, including Pulpit Rock Brewery. We looked up the reference and discovered the amazing overlook in Norway. We asked the bartenders if they had ever been. They hadn’t been to the one in Norway, but they had been to the one in Decorah. There’s a hidden path in Will Baker Park up to this overlook with some fancy stonework that surprised us. It’s a really quick hike up there (10 minutes?) and we would recommend the short detour! #pulpitrock#decorah#iowa#overlook#pulpitrockbrewery#notnorway#stonework
