Cut a new nut for the '63 Jaguar I showed off earlier, and decided to spend an extra fifteen minutes filling in the missing chunk from the bass side of the fretboard at the headstock. I used rosewood dust, made with a spare block of wood I keep around for just such an occasion. Rubbing against some sand paper, I was able to make a little brown mound of dust in no time flat. I then employed some super glue as a base, then gently covered that base in the dust, pressing in as it dried. I built up layer after layer to form the basic shape, then used a razor blade to trim away the excess. A quick polish and I'm ready for the show tonight. It's pretty good for a quick job, but when I have more time I'll go back over it and really nail it. This is more or less a quick fix before taking the stage tonight.
The Ocean from a bit of a distance. Enjoy! 🙌🏼. @nasa
An office with a view…this video, captured by NASA astronaut Randy Bresnik, shows off the spectacular view during a recent spacewalk. He posted the footage on social media saying: “Sometimes on a #spacewalk , you just have to take a moment to enjoy the beauty of our planet Earth.
This Go-Pro footage is from our spacewalk where Joe Acaba and I refurbished the Canadarm2 robotic arm and the Dextre robotic arm extension.” Currently, six humans are living and working on the International Space Station (@iss), which orbits our planet at 17,500 mph. Located 250 miles above Earth, the crew conducts important science and research that will help send us deeper into the solar system than ever before.
