Ok so it feels like July. Why I decided to run in the middle of the afternoon is beyond me. I can't wear my watch bc of my tattoo, so I relied on Map My Run. They don't get along.... I ran way farther than what I know is 3 miles but apparently one is off. Well just say I ran somewhere between 3-4 miles. I stopped to admire these beauties along the way because I'm a sucker for pretty flowers. Unfortunately, no one had any sprinklers on for me to run through. And yes.... Freese is licking the sweat off of me. 😳💙🐶 #resultsnotexcuses#saltydogs
Woke up late. Allergies are kicking my butt. Still got my workout in. It's been awhile since I've touched any weights so I'm sure I'll be sore tomorrow! I wanna be your IT GIRL! You need help with eating better (don't we all), finding motivation to workout, or changing your LIFE!? Hit me up! Next challenge starts in 12 days!! #resultsnotexcuses#shaunweek
This journey has changed my life SO much! I have learned to eat healthy, work out, and love ME!
This dance at the end is because I HATE cardio but I freakin did it today!!! I didn't want to but I hit play.
You can join me, you can talk about it, you can scroll by as you roll your eyes at my posts but this is for me. I am in a challenge for the month and I crushed my goals, I made it to the top this week. I don't do this just for the challenge group, I do this to inspire others that sit silently debating upon joining me.
Now this..... THIS is what I love! I'm dripping sweat after not even 30 minutes of Pure Cardio from #shaunweek I know I did something, I know I put the work in, I know I'll be sore tomorrow, and I know I'll get results! My kind of workout.... in the comfort of my own home. No people to talk to, no walk to and from my car in the rain, nobody to share equipment with.... just me. I wouldn't have it any other way. #resultsnotexcuses
I could've had all the excuses today. Traveling. Needed weights. Hate using hotel Gyms. Had to get up super early. Long day ahead.
But excuses don't get results. excuses make me feel guilty and tired and lazy. Getting it done makes me feel amazing! So, as hard as it was to get out of bed this morning, I made it work. I haven't sucked it up and went to the hotel gym. What excuses are you telling yourself today? How are you overcome them? If I can do it so can you!
Ever wondered why you can't stick to your workout routine or diet and you never quite seem to achieve the goals you set for yourself? Then maybe you aren't being SMART enough. People often set out with the aim to achieve something but never really fully plan how they are going to get there. Here are some tips to make sure you smash the next goals you set yourself.
S - Specificity
You need to define your target, saying to yourself 'I want to lose weight or I want to tone up' is too general. Instead think about saying 'I aim to reduce my weight by 5lb'
M - Measureable
How do you know you've met your goals if you don't have anything to measure? Similarly to the weight example above you could use waist or hip circumference to measure progress.
A - Achievable
Setting yourself a goal which is not achievable just won't work. This means breaking them down into short, medium and long term goals and getting there step by step. If you can squat 50kg and you want to be able to squat 100kg you aren't just going to stick another 50kg on the bar and hope for the best, you start small and work your way up.
R - Realistic
Setting unrealistic goals is a recipe for disaster. We often here people saying 'I've stopped eating chocolate, biscuits and crisp'. Usually they last a week or two because it's too extreme. You can't go from starting point to goal without few steps in between.
T - Timed
Give yourself a time frame for your goals. So when you're telling yourself your aim is to lose 5lb...How long is it going to take you?
If you need help and advice on setting yourself realistic goals that you will actually be able to reach then please come and speak to our staff members, we are more than happy to help and we want to see you achieve them just as much as you do.
