Do you use old rotors?
How do you clean your rotors?

I didn't have the proper brake adaptor so the @hopetech 3 V4 brakes is currently jimmied onto my @norcobicycles Optic with the hardware I had kicking around. If I end up liking these brakes I will get a proper Hope Post to Post Adaptor for it.
Check out my old Hope Saw rotor. It's been kicking around for a while so went the extra mile to make sure I got all the contaminants off it before installing it. I should have just bought new rotors but I really like the looks of this discontinued Hope Saw rotor.
The 3 steps I took to clean this rotor:
1) Wiped with isopropyl alcohol.
2) Sprayed on automotive brake cleaner.
3) Did a quick loop with a blowtorch.
The blowtorch is unecessary but imo it doesn't hurt. If you are using the blowtorch method on floating rotors, make sure not heat the rotor too much as that might eff up the rivots.
What's your method to cleaning rotors? Do you re-use rotors or do you just buy new ones?

I have recently bought a 29er fully bike. More bigger sizes have come popular, my bike is cross country/all mountain what do you guy think of 29ers for cross country. Recently a 29er has come for DH, i personally would love to try it as DH is mainly going fast and with my 29er i always go first when i go with friend.
