Now, I can’t tell you that I LOVE rejection. But I get what she's saying. NO is not a rejection so much as an opportunity. It’s a chance to improve, to hone your craft, and come back even stronger. ⠀
I’m not saying that this kind of bounce-back resilience happens overnight. I’ve personally been told NO so many times in the last 10 years that when I hear it now, I just keep moving on. But I wasn’t born knowing that, and I didn’t acquire that skill in a few short weeks. ⠀
It takes practice. It takes courage. And it means learning to make rejection a LOT less personal. ⠀
Where do you start? By asking for things. By putting yourself out there in life as well as in business. Start detaching from outcomes and focus on ACTION.⠀
Try asking for free samples at Starbucks. Order something that isn’t on the menu and ask if they can make it for you. Ask someone to sign a petition or make a donation to a favorite cause. ⠀
The more you ask, the easier it gets. The less you focus on outcomes, the more you focus on ACTION, and the better your results will become.⠀

💡The only limits that exist are the ones we create in our mind! Limits like fears are often just an illusion. If you feel like you deserve better, it's probably because you do.💪Have courage and go after what you want!🏃 If you want it badly enough, there are no limits to what you can achieve!
KEEP ADDING VALUE UNTIL THE VALUE MEETS YOUR FINANCIAL GOALS. When you help your prospect fix problems or save money you are adding value. You can always find a way to add value by probing with questions. Once you find places in your prospects' life where you can add value, explain how this value can be implemented. Remember that adding value is key to closing a sale. If you add enough value your prospect will demand your services, that when it’s showtime to close.
Some salespeople get so wrapped up in closing that they forget the doorway to closing is value. I love this way of thinking because it gives your prospect what they want and accelerates your closing ratio.

ENERGY // We've all had those days where we just feel drained, and all that would make us feel better is to sleep for about 20 hours. If you're feeling like this more often than not, then it's time to have a good think about what's consuming so much of your energy. What can you cut down on to make yourself feel like a human again?
Small talk can be good in networking situations, but in a sales conversation, small talk can be a major time waster.⠀⠀
The point of rapport is to gain trust, and many think that by talking about random things that you have in common, you are building trust. The thing is, trust is built not by commonalities, but in the faith that the customer has in you to deliver what you say. Talking about the weather, or your common love of golf, isn’t going to cut it. ⠀⠀
We should be building rapport around common understandings within the sales conversation. We should build rapport around social proof and market experience. If anything you are talking about isn’t progressing you towards the sale, it’s a waste of time. ⠀⠀
Sales has changed, people no longer just buy from the person they like, so spending time building rapport around small talk is useless.⠀⠀
The days of old school ‘relationship’ sales are dying, we need to be more than their ‘friend’ to get the sale.
