I glanced at my to do list this morning and realized it created its own list and I said time to get cracking! 🙈 I started as soon as I got back from training- sweaty Betty and all- with the ones that I’ve been avoiding. I call this eating the frog 🐸 Do the hardest tasks first. Check ✔️cross ➖check ✔️booked ✔️done and done! Love this feeling ==>> it just asks for more! ❓What’s up next... ahhhh yes please— an Epsom Salt bath 🛀🏻 & foam rolling 👻 because I want to move tomorrow!

We waste our personal power by debating what we want more, rather than just choosing once and for all.
Change your mindset around how much power you have, and the game will change!
Practice less self-sabotaging behaviour, more self- love, and making conscious decisions based on your CORE DESIRES - not what your ego wants in the moment.

Complete honesty... here we go... 6 shows left; a drive from Denver to nyc to nj to pa. A flight back to Nashville and then out to Bali for a month. I am here to show up as a sober living coach. I am here to speak my truth and what I know. I am here to say today where I sit typing this I am burnt the fuck out. I can’t wait to relax and create in what I perceive to be one of the most beautiful countries. However I feel uninspired, not motivated at all and I have to show up as a cheerleader. My cart for 7 brand spanking new clients opens up November 1st and I know that one of the things that fills me up is showing up for my clients. Making a difference in their life. My story is one that I hope helps allow women to feel safe enough to be open and honest about what they are dealing with. Here’s a perfect example of something that’s easy to say, but quite challenging to actually do. This, however, is a skill worth working on, because it is so essential to our recovery, success, and wellbeing in life 🙂When you’re tired, rest - don’t quit!! Maybe of us are tempted to quit when things get hard, but beautiful things await us on the other side of our obstacles. When we do our workouts at the gym, we make short time for rest periods, so that we do not overwhelm or injure our bodies. These small recovery periods allow us to have an effective workout! Now, try doing the same for your mental health each day. Create short, positive, mindful breaks throughout the day to energize your mind and bring yourself inner peace. By doing this, you can return to your routine with a clearer and more focused mind and heart. This way, you will feel better and be more effective.
Try taking a few minutes several times a day to just sit in a comfortable, quiet place and notice your breathing, absorb the sunshine, colour a picture, play an instrument, water your plants, take a walk, or mindfully sip some hot coco. Try this the very moment you notice that you are getting overwhelmed by something, or set aside some time for the next day the night before so that you can prevent feeling overwhelmed. It’s important that we try not to run ourselves into the ground, and we should pause when we’re too overwhelmed- always coming back to it later. Take short couple minute mindful breaks throughout the day during classes or between meetings- really, whenever, wherever you need. And after a day of hard work, please set aside some time to take care of yourself 💜💋👑there’s nothing shameful about taking breaks or even taking a mental health day. It’s perfectly legitimate, perfectly valid. We’re not robots. We get overwhelmed, we get sick, we get hurt, we get emotional, we get hungry. ALL of us do. Everyone needs rest to fulfill their lives. Don’t quit on yourself, on your mental health recovery, on your dreams. I went ahead & tried the Original (Unflavored) Natural Calm drink. I only took half of the packet since I’ve never actually taken a magnesium supplement before & didn’t know how my body would respond to it. But in about 10-15 minutes after consumption, I definitely felt a sense of relaxation. When you’re stressed out or dealing with anxiety, your body’s magnesium levels tend to be deficient, which is why sometimes taking a supplement that elevates your levels to a healthy range may actually be beneficial to reducing stress/anxiety. I mixed the powder with hot water to make it more like a tea & added a little bit of lemon! What’s nice about the unflavored one is that you can definitely mix it in other drinks of your choosing while still getting the intake of Mg! Anyone else ever feel awkward taking/posting selfies or is it just me? Today marks 6 months since making some major lifestyle changes. I have a hard time putting into words how much better I feel mentally, physically, and emotionally. Despite breaking my ankle in May and the limitations/setbacks that come with it, I have managed to lose 25 pounds. That in itself is exciting, but the mental and emotional benefits that have come from ditching my unhealthy habits have far outweighed the physical. I have a long way to go until I reach my goals, but this no longer intimidates me, it excites me. I can't wait to see where I'm at 6 months from now. Feels good. TONS of people use #transitionalobjects like stuffed animals, blankets, and other sources of comfort to self-soothe in child development...AND in adulthood !! As I've grown up, I've kept my old teddy and blanket at hand in case of a crisis. I no longer need them by my side at all times, but they are still a convenient tool for self-soothing. Even if you don't have a childhood favorite, try investing in a toy that gives you fond memories of childhood, a stuffed animal filled with lavender for calming, or a weighted blanket for an extra physical sense of security. Being able to comfort ourselves in times of need makes us less vulnerable to people who may not always understand what we are going though. #selfcare

As women we play so many roles in our lives--we are mom, boss, sponsor, or sponsee. #Selfcare is vital for all women, but as women in recovery it is especially important to schedule in that "me time." On our #blog this week we are offering some tips and tricks on how to make this happen---link is in bio. 💆💕👆
🙋🏽🙋🏽Is anyone else easily overwhelmed by their to-do-list? Di here, speaking from the heart. It’s gonna get real, if you’d rather scroll to another pretty picture with a delicious description, You have my permission👌🏼😉❤️ Sometimes there are so many things… good things… competing for my attention. Business opportunities, meetings, orders, emails, creating new product, housework, exercise, laundry, relationships, church…the list goes on. I get overwhelmed when I feel pulled in too many directions. I hate giving halfa** efforts and get stressed about not letting anything fall through the cracks (that was not an intentional pun, I swear😬! Today I’m sharing 3 tips I’ve found helpful... and I’m open for any words of wisdom you’d like to add!
1️⃣Remember that you are NOT the center of the universe: Life will go on if the laundry sits in the basket another day or if you don’t respond to every email within 30 minutes. Seriously, it is NOT that big of a deal.
2️⃣This is borrowed advice from a friend: Each morning make a list of 3 tasks you want to accomplish. Do those three things FIRST. That way, even if the to-do-list is still long at the end of the day, you will still feel like you accomplished something.
3️⃣Batch your work: Talk about a game-changer. I organize my work week so I make all my batters on one day, I write out all of my social media content on another day, etc. My mother always says “the job expands to fit the time.” This is so true! If I just wander about my day with no real plan, I’ll find myself at 5pm having done nothing. So… eliminate distractions, silence your phone, block out time for a specific task and get stuff done!
