A light fare for tonight’s dinner: Lime Shrimp salad. It’s very good but there are a cpl things to note. The recipe called for mixed leafy greens (didn’t have that so I used what I did have) & avocado chunks (the avocado I had spoiled & I didn’t feel like running to the store to get another one). With the hypermasculine and colonial framing of Mexican liquors, (especially around the frat boy takeover of cinco de mayo) the #ingenious and feminine aspects of tequila are erased. When in reality, tequila is defined and created by indigenous working class people and the struggles of free womanhood in a patriarchal system.

💃 Corn 🌽 salsa! So great to mix with choice of meat on tacos! Have it as a side! Or in a salad! Delicious!!! * 2 can corn
* 2 poblano peppers
* 5 tomatoes
* 2 tbsp cilantro (desired amount)
* 2 tbsp clarified ghee
* 1 tbsp chili lime powder * 1/4 cup onions (optional)
* Juice from 1 Lime
* Salt and Pepper to taste
1. Sauté onions (if desired), corn 🌽 & poblano peppers 🌶 in ghee until slightly brown. Season w/ chili powder, lime, salt pepper.
2. Let cool for 10 mins. Add tomatoes & cilantro. Add more lime if desired.
