“Saying yes to happiness means learning to say no to things and people who stress you out” -Thelma Davis. . . So there’s a load of stress going through my mind at the moment and it’s something I usually fight with often. This year I had made the goal to reduce the negativity in my life. Following the advice of this quote and many others that are similar is not something that’s easy to do. People always say, you can get rid of the negative people in your life. Which sure you can. But that doesn’t mean the alternative is any better. When it comes to friends it can be easier to cut out those that are constantly bringing you down. The problem comes in when the people you would need to cut out are family or a spouse. Some people really don’t want to take that leap, it’s a battle, it’s hard and who’s to say you’ll actually be better off in the end? So what do you do in those situations? Go with what’s safe and keep negativity in your life? Or take a huge risk and make the jump? There’s no right or wrong answer here, because it all comes down to you. Your situation and how you feel about it. You do what you think is best for your mental wellbeing. In my case I usually do nothing and it takes its toll on me. . . Here’s to today’s mental breakdown. #stressed#mentalbreakdown#whatamidoing
Well here's lunch!
32 ounce lemon and cucumber water.
V8 veggie cocktail.
26 vegetable chips.
Half roasted chicken breast sandwich on flax and quinoa bread.
And an orange.
To be incredibly honest I'm not even hungry... I ate at 8:30 this morning.
Sugar levels are good. Had a morning exercise and will do another this evening and another after this meal to equal a total of 30 minutes by the end of the day. I'm trying to train myself to always do some form of movement after a meal so i can maintain my sugar. You wouldn't believe how stressful it is to see ugly numbers on that little screen. I figure once I get used to the movement it should get easier to do it. The hardest thing about it is getting my mindset into it. I'm lazy as shit.
I'm literally retraining my mind and body right now and it stresses me out. I'm stressed... stress doesn't help. Stress can lead to stress eating. I can't fail.
5 part series for Energy, beauty, Clarity and Immunity.
Part 2-Adaptogen Blend + Energy
We continue with Part 2 today. Are you tired and stressed out? We are all beautifully human and take on way too much creating unwanted stress and fatiguing our bodies in the process. I am currently training for my second figure competition and really need the extra energy right now.
I have a couple of blends that help with energy levels and keep you grounded when feeling a little stressed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*Remember to review Part 1 to get more blending ideas for your recipes.
Adaptogen Blend + Energy Recipe.
Yield: 15 servings (this is a bulk powder recipe)
1 tablespoon each (ground)
• Goji Berries
• Reishi Mushroom
• Cordyceps Mushroom
• He Shou Wu
If using whole herbs, grind each one separately in a coffee grinder first.
In a small bowl, combine approximately 1 tablespoon of each herb. Whisk to remove any clumps and mix everything together. Store in an airtight container.
To use, add 1 teaspoon of moon dust to coffee, tea, smoothies or the drink of your choice in the morning.
Adaptogen Blend + Grounding Recipe
1 cup nut or seed milk
1/2 tsp ashwagandha
1/2 tsp he shou wu
1/4 tsp mucuna pruriens
1 Tbsp The Coconut Butter
1/2 Tbsp tocotrienols
1/2 Tbsp bee pollen
While warming milk, add the rest of the ingredients to a high powered blender. When milk is warm, not boiling, pour and blend for one minute. Pour in your favorite mug and top with Bee Pollen.

S A V O R Y for the win!
Veggie hash, two farm fresh eggs + sauerkraut make for a nutrient-dense, brain-boosting + satiating breakfast so you can keep up with your full sched. The only thing that would make this better is a perfect avocado 😍🥑
You have the choice to be happy even if it feels like you don’t have that choice.
You might be feeling under appreciated right now, or resentful because you do so much for your family and/or job or you might be weighed down by your never ending to-do list. .
But I promise, as soon as you make the choice to feel happier, things start to change for the better because it comes down to your perspective on everything. .
I felt like I was drowning in my to-do list, giving everything to my business, family and clients....which left nothing for myself, so I was resentful and angry. Which was taking a serious toll on my body. I got to the point where I was completely burned out. There was nothing left to give. I knew I needed to change my perspective and choose my own happiness first and foremost. Once I did, everything started to change for the better. .
My health improved, I lost weight, I slept better, I was a better person to be around.
So if you start feeling resentful or angry or super stressed out today. Take a moment, take 7 deep breathes, close your eyes and choose happy.

Stress is the number one cause of disease, as well as the number one cause of the regression and suppression of human consciousness.
In his most recent interview with Hay House, Dr. Bruce Lipton stated that new research shows that over 95% of all disease is stress-induced. If you think this percentage seems to be staggering or exaggerated, I invite you to meditate on what disease really is. Disease is “dis-ease” in the body. Stress is a silent and subtle killer. You may not feel the effects at first, but I assure you that chronic exposure to stress will eventually result in some form of disease — whether that is a mental condition or heart failure.
Stress puts us in a state of contraction or depression. Human consciousness is meant to be forever expanding — exploring itself and the other myriad manifestations of the Universe. However, stress causes consciousness to close in on itself. It prevents growth — more so than anything else. When we are stressed, our energy is channeled in non-optimal ways. It is directed towards fear-based survival as opposed to love-based expansion.
A lot of what I have presented in this post sounds dark. However, the facts mentioned above will continue to influence human consciousness in a negative way until the light of truth exposes it. As a collective, we must understand the destructive power of stress. It can be likened to death. Further, we must be able to manage and then transcend it. This can be likened to life. Learning how to properly deal with and eradicate stress is essential to curing the majority of diseases on the planet, and it is the key to the progression of human consciousness.

DAY 2: ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR REALITY
It's so easy to say that look in the mirror and see a stronger, braver and more successful you. But how can you do that when you’re not there yet.
What if before you focus on attracting great things, you point out your insecurities, obstacles and roadblocks?
When you acknowledge your reality, your day-to-day stressors, and how they affect your life (regardless of how big or little), the signal you send out to the universe is one of acceptance.
And when you accept the facts, you step into the world of reality and self-awareness. Accepting and acknowledging your reality is the first step toward acting responsibly to improve it.
Let’s work towards owning your stressful situations, because when you don’t, you cannot work toward improving it.
DAY 2 JOURNALING:
Before you get started, I want you to STOP, DROP & BREATHE.
What things/situations/tasks are stressing you out right now?
How are these stressors affecting your life? (relationships, mental and physical health, finances, big goals)
Brainstorm and write down 3 ways you’re going to deal with this stress (self-awareness is the #1 of the 3). YOUR ACTION STEPS FOR TODAY:
Post your answers in Mindstruck! Meditation & Awareness Community with the Hashtag #5DayExperience#Day2
At 10am PST/12pm CST, join me LIVE on my Facebook Page where I’ll share with you various ways to acknowledge your reality and then turn it around with stress-releasing exercises.
I encourage you to make some time for yourself and finish + post your journaling answersin the group. I’ll personally check your response and give you my feedback.
Looking forward to reading your response in the group! ~Shine on! Elizabeth
Today’s #HealthTipTuesday is all about the science behind managing stress 💪:
A new study suggests that too much stress can actually make you physically ill. 😷 The “mast cell” found in our gut and our skin helps the body defend against any type of challenge or stress. 🤜 Well, this new research uncovered that when our stress response becomes too overwhelming, these cells go from being “protective” 🏥 to “pathogenic.” 🙅🏽♀️ This can lead to IBS, asthma, overproduction of mucus, and an amped up pain response!
It’s important to remember to practice habits of self-care, like taking part in restorative activities 🧘♀️, taking breaks , and eating well! 🥦🥑 Check out the link in our bio to learn more.
