The sweet entrance @slaughtersmanor, where they couldn’t have been nicer about our lumpy macs (maps, oatie biscuits, etc) and caked boots. We had taken a walk that morning and come for sherries and lunch. To read more of the story in @voguemagazine, the link is in profile.
Pretending to enjoy one of Colombia’s desserts.. Frozen mango chunks covered in salt. I love mango but the salt killed me! 😝
Friday chat 💭 How are you? What will you do this weekend? Where will you going out tonight? ☺️
I finished all my blog posts for my Hong Kong pilgrimage, 20 years in the making. Naturally, it includes where I stayed, all the places I ate at and had milk tea, and the best bespoke tailor. Link in profile. Photo by @noexchavez
"...why sunset is more colourful than sunrise? It's an irony of life saying - Sometimes, good things happen in goodbyes" 👌🐬🌅🗺 @How_2_Travel
What do you love most about Winter?🕯❄️✨ I love the cozy nights with many candles and lights! - throwing a rhyme, just like that💁🏼
I can explain? Mexicali has a network of basements in the old part of the city—the Chinese neighborhood, called La Chinesca. To escape the heat of the desert and utilize space they already had, they moved their businesses underground and connected the basements with a series of small, disjointed underground tunnels. Connected by these tunnels were stores, restaurants, cantinas, casinos, brothels, opium dens, meeting halls and anything else humans found need. Al Capone even had one such cantina several of the casinos had tunnels running under the border, into the United States, during Prohibition. We toured a number of the basements (all of the tunnels have since been walled off) and while I’m fairly positive i have tuberculosis or hanta virus, it was one of the coolest & weirdest ways to spend a Thursday morning. #onassignment
Whatever is beautiful, whatever is meaningful, whatever brings you happiness... may it be yours this holiday season and throughout the coming year!

“What day is it?” asked one of the ‘little helpers’ today. Good question. Friday, Saturday, not entirely sure...and wasn’t there that nice recipe you saw somewhere, in a magazine or website maybe? Not sure which. Sherry. Apparently it has the nose on gin this Christmas, according to a local sage. Especially good in tomato soup, a dash or otherwise depending on the sort of day it is.... If you want to join in the mayhem tomorrow, Father Christmas will be in residence from 3.30pm - 8pm. Link in bio for more info.
Starting the day with some yoga in paradise 🧘🏽♀️🌴🌿
Overlooking Jersey's most wild and rugged beaches, The Atlantic Hotel entertains some of the island’s most beautiful views. Where the sun shines and the temperature is that little bit warmer than mainland England, enjoy the magnificent island from this sleek retreat. @atlanticjersey

This is the Klausen Pass in Switzerland with its highest point at 1952 meters over sea level. It took me two days to cross it with my heavy loaded mountainbike and I spend one night in a tent in this valley right under this part of the pass road. ⛺
What plans do you have for the weekend? It's in sight! 🔭
Greetings from the snowy Faroe Islands.
The villages are all ready for Christmas, are you?
This capture is in the 2017 Vágar Lions club calendar for the month of December. Next years calendar, I am honoured to announce, will feature all photos taken by me.

Tourism in Venezuelan Guayana, since the 1980s, tourism has become one of the most promising economic activities in the Venezuelan Guayana. Because of the numerous places with outstanding scenic beauty and mostly pristine landscapes, the area ranks higher each year as a vacation destination for national and international tourists. The completion of paved roads through the gran sabana and to Puerto Ayacucho, together with daily commercial air routes to puerto ordaz, canaima, and Puerto Ayacucho, has made access to the area much easier. Numerous jungle lodges and camps have opened in remotes areas of Bolívar and Amazonas states. Small airplanes are available at many places in the flora area, either for sightseeing trips or for transport to remote areas. Tour operators offer a variety of river trips especially along the lower Río Caura, and the Río Orinoco above Puerto Ayacucho. The main tourists destinations in Bolívar state currently are the Gran Sabana, along the road from la escalera to Santa Elena de Uairen, with side trips to Kavanayen and Icabaru; Canaima, a Pemon village and tourists camp near the confluence of the Río Carrao and the Río Caroní, the oldest and largest tourists resort of the Venezuelan Guayana, only accessible by airplane; Kavak, small resort at the southeastern base of Auyantepuy, accessible only by airplane: Guri, at the northern end of the lake created for the Raúl Leoni hydroelectric power plant, accessible by paved road; antes Salto Para, on the lower Río Caura, accessible by River.
Moments like these are the ones you remember 🤗💫 The Trolltunga hike in Norway should be on the bucket list for everyone (tip! Bring a tent and stay overnight so you don’t have to share this spot with 200 other hikers)
