🤫🤐Listen, I get it - sometimes we get so excited about our goals and aspirations that we spill over like a running faucet, telling everyone in our path what we plan on doing and how GREAT of an idea we have - but the question is, ARE YOU ACTUALLY DOING what you say you’re going to do? Most of the times it’s best to keep a little mystery to what you have going on - everyone doesn’t need to know your plans. Let your progress and daily actions do the talking for you and focus on what’s important - keeping that promise to yourself to make it happen.

Just one of many photos 📷 of my first Friendsgiving Tablescape made beautiful with the help of @theprintedsociety - we used rose gold accents for the banner and hand written tent cards. All the pretty pictures are on the blog right now. Direct link in bio ⬆️
Happy Tuesday ✨ 🗣As we grow through life it is inevitable that you'll experience character defining moments that you will overcome.
It happened to me recently and what I realized was this person's behavior (as she tried to manipulate the situation and portray me in a disparaging light) was a reflection of the insecurities she has which have nothing to do with me.
I had to remind myself that her behavior was due to the negative thinking she's programmed her mind to believe which again has nothing to do with me.
As a Learning and Development professional, I recognize my level of excellence is something that I have worked hard to achieve and my expectations are such that the people that I deliver content to are more than capable of performing their jobs to the best of their abilities.
What I wish I could tell this person (in spite of her awful behavior toward me and the other leaders who are helping to onboard her) 😒 is you must begin to see yourself as MORE than a conqueror and triumphant in all that you do. 😏 I'd also tell her you must release that defensive posture you have and listen with the intent to understand not reply. (Now that I think about it I did tell her that more than once.) 🤷🏽♀️ I stopped by to remind you that if you have the tendency to only focus on what's wrong in the situation and blaming others, the universe will have you in the same position again until you master the lesson being presented to you.
It's easy for me to see the work of art that I am.
I AM a true believer in the best about me.
All things work together for my good and I always have the positive advantage.
It is easy for me to release what no longer serves me.
Take that first step which is to recognize that there is greatness inside of you and let's do this! ~ Be the light 💫 'The Inspirationista'

It's Meet an AEON Employee time! Today we're meeting Wasim, an Emergency Teacher who works for the Tokyo Head office. Emergency Teachers in Tokyo not only cover Tokyo itself but also the entire Tobu/Shutoken areas. Wasim was kind enough to answer a few questions we had for him!
1. Where are you originally from?
"I'm from Montreal, Canada." 2. Where did you start off?
"The first school I taught at was Oyama school, in Tochigi prefecture." 3. How long have you worked for AEON?
"I've worked at AEON since May of 2005, so about 12 1/2 years." 4. What does your job entail?
"My job as a teacher is to help our students reach their English language goals. As an Emergency Teacher, I travel to different schools to both teach English, and to also support the teachers and staff there." 5. What made you decide to become an Emergency Teacher?
"I love teaching, meeting new people, and traveling. I also really enjoy helping new teachers. This was a good way to share my experience, and to help support the teachers and staff at many different schools, as well as AEON as a whole. Being an Emergency Teacher has also allowed me to see a lot of Japan, and to learn a great deal more about its culture." 6. Where was your most interesting placement?
"I've had many interesting placements, but one that stands out in particular was Hokkaido. The food was delicious, the people warm and friendly, and the scenery breathtaking. Another one that stands out is Fukushima, for similar reasons. The school is near a beautiful mountain range, and there are historic sites all around the prefecture." #AEONJapan#Emergencyteacher#teacher#teachinjapan#teachingadventures#japanlife#explorejapan#experiencejapan#tokyo#yamaguchi#fukukoka#japan#japanese#fukushima#Lifeabroad#teachabroad#meetanemployee#oyama#tochigi#hokkaido
