The #queen of Super Seconds
#tastingnotes 2012/2015 Alter Ego
1999/2006/2015 Chateau Palmer
The Alter Egos have brighter acidity, leaner structure, and a bit lighter on its feet. Fresh red fruit characters followed closely by the winery's unique floral quality, consistently silky elegant.
The Flagship wines are immediately more pronounced, rounder body, and more persistent finish without being heavy. Dark tone fruit with a few extra layers of oak spice, cinnamon, baked pastries.
The wines from three different decades demonstrated the wines ability to age and evolve over time, the '99 is perhaps the most masculine of the bunch, the tannin still had some edge to them while the '06 is almost sweet and savory, and the '15 is just in its infancy, as supple as the baby's cheek.
A stone throw away from it's first growth neighbor Chateau Margaux, #third growth Ch. Palmer is still one of the most respected in town. Unique in its almost even portion of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Petite Verdot (sometimes not included at all) ; aged in generally less than 50% New Oak, half of Ch. Margaux. A delicate and feminine expression of the land.
#cheers to UC Davis and Ch. Palmer Americas Director Jean-Louis for putting on this incredible tasting experience.

#jamoftheday I'm glad I found this one. I found it because flo rida sampled the piano off of this song. "I Forgot to be your lover" the first pic is the original by William Bell a great song but way too short.
The #second pic is a longer version by the revaluations 👍👍the #third pic is a Funk'd up version by the Mad Lads 👍👍 needless to say I liked them all 😁#workflow
