[So guys, the correct answer of the last pooling was Beregond.☺]
The Guards of the Citadel, sometimes referred to as the Guards of the Tower of Gondor, were the warriors responsible for guarding the upmost level of Minas Tirith, especially the courtyard that held the fountain and the White Tree of Gondor, and gave way the thronehall. They served as personal bodyguards to the Kings of Gondor, and later to the Stewards of Gondor until King Aragorn II Elessar's coronation. They were considered to be the best soldiers in the realm of Gondor. Known for their bravery, fighting skills, and unshakable loyalty, they swear an oath against their own lives to serve their lord.
The Citadel Guards wore similar armor to that of ordinary knights of Gondor, though finer crafted – believed by some to be a gift of the Dwarves to Gondor in an earlier time. In the book they are described as wearing a uniform of black robes and black surcoats, embroidered in white with a tree in blossom under a silver crown and many-pointed stars. Their helms were high-crowned and pointed, with long cheek-guards fitting to the face, and above these were set the white wings of sea-birds to honor their seafaring Númenórean heritage; the helms were Mithril and heirlooms from ancient times. They carried swords for close combat. Known members of the Citadel Guards were Beregond, Boromir (Captain during the War of the Ring until death at Amon Hen) and Peregrin Took (Under service of the steward Denethor II).

The world was young, the mountains green,
No stain yet on the Moon was seen,
No words were laid on stream or stone
When Durin woke and walked alone.
He named the nameless hills and dells;
He drank from yet untasted wells;
He stooped and looked in Mirrormere,
And saw a crown of stars appear,
As gems upon a silver thread,
Above the shadow of his head
The world was fair, the mountains tall,
In Elder Days before the fall. - - J.R.R Tolkien
Even though it was supposed to be fully symmetrical and the tattoo artist took... liberties... I still love it. I’ll have had it for ten years this year, and I went to get it with my Sister from another Mister who I miss every single day ❤️ #tattoo#tattoostory#tolkien#lotr
👹🔥 Fellowship Rewatch 🔥👹 I had a very Tolkien weekend, and it was lovely! Okay, I know today is #tolkientuesday but we had a snow day yesterday so it feels like today is Monday.
My husband was gone for a few days so I took the opportunity to binge watch all the extended DVDs at full volume. There is nothing like watching them all in a row.
I don't care how many times I watch this, the scene with the Balrog always makes my heart race and it never gets easier. I was kind of thrilled to get this badass looking Funko of him last year. Egads.
I watched the final one last night, and if you're interested, I kind of live tweeted parts of it. I just couldn't help myself. You can find me on Twitter At LindaWonder.
What do you like to do when you have the house to yourself? I used to be about blasting music but for some reason I got out of the habit.
The backdrop is a book that I got on clearance called Tolkien's World. Light on scholarship but some nice illustrations.
“It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”

#burntjanuary day 23: geometric! I loved working on this one, I felt like the minimal design really helped me feel out how to represent the quote I wanted to use. ☺️ I love the reminder that it’s okay if you aren’t always going from point A to point B. #lotr#lordoftherings •❤️•

Концерт по заявкам - представляю общему вниманию: великий и неподражаемый Толкин. Кроме сомнений в том, как правильно писать его фамилию, у нас возникли разногласия по написанию его инициалов: J.R.R. Tolkien или J-R.R. Tolkien. Скажите уже мне, пожалуйста, как правильно написать это имя - надо ставить тире или нет. Я же просто спать не смогу!
#plotterlifechallenge day 22: Inspirational Quote
I used this quote because despite how little you work, it all adds up. Keep going. Keep working through the heavy quicksand of no inspiration and writing in general... This keeps me going.
The picture I did because of the lovely Tolkien, and how his small heroes took big steps and reached their goal. It was not easy, and sometimes it was painful and frightening, but when they finished it was for the good of all.
