I spent over 7 years gawping at the historic buildings of other countries. Maybe I needed that time abroad to appreciate the masses of crumbly wonders we have in this country too! Christ's College Cambridge founded 1437, found opposite the taxi rank! #ukexplore#ancientengland#cambridge
It was a gorgeous day on the South Bank this morning - despite the Christmas market stalls set up, it was warm in the sun and the sky was blue. And my route between two meetings meant I had a guilt free excuse to wander along the river and soak up the sights as mudlarkers sifted through china washed up on the tide. I don't think I could ever get tired of London with views like this.
Serious play 👧🏼👶🏼 There’s been some serious duplo play going on here this afternoon. I say serious because they look like they’re playing nicely here don’t they? Hahaha. All is not what it appears. Soon after this photo was taken, the yellow tower was subject to an argument over whose it was and the play time ended with Evie hitting Amelie over the head with a piece.
Poor Amelie was not in any mood for this play so promptly took the duplo up to the table - which was probably for the best 🙈
These girls bicker ALL the time at the moment. The favourite being when one comes for a cuddle with me the other rushes over to take the other out. It’s driving me mad and makes me feel so guilty that I can’t be split in two. The same old problem!
On the upside both went to bed early tonight so I had time to cook our Hello Fresh and sit down! Small wins.
It’ll be back to the sibling battle ground tomorrow 😩 Until then, happy hump day! Xx
I’ve been really stressed this week after missing out on loads of study time as Rosie was poorly. I hate being stressed around her and we have had such a good day but I was always thinking of work. After a little meltdown (from me, not Rosie) she’s still smiling and has made me feel so much better! .
Also, any body else felt like they were going to get blown over today? Or has a toddler that worries about their hair with every gust of wind 😂she’s definitely my child!
We had a little explore at Claremont gardens this morning. The sun came out and it looked beautiful. If you saw my insta story you would have seen I forgot to charge my camera and I was so annoyed with my myself.
On the other hand, for the first time ever Rosie didn’t charge at the water and nearly fall in, so I can’t complain!
We are just having the best time at our winter wonderland retreat. 🍂🍁🌨 I don’t ever want to come home and I wish it could be Christmas all year round! 🎅🏻🤶🏻⛄️ I think Ivy definitely agrees with me however her sleeping pattern doesn’t... 🙈😴☕️ #suitcasesundermyeyes

28 weeks already! The past few weeks have just flown by in a flurry of antenatal appointments. I can't quite believe we are in the third trimester already. This baby is going to be here before we know it, and I'm feeling very disorganised. Is this always the way with second babies? You've done it before so you're just not as prepared because you're already prepared if that makes sense? We have everything we need for the baby, in the house somewhere - his clothes are in the loft, his crib is in the garage waiting to be built and his car seat is in the bedroom waiting for the covers to be washed. That's all we need anyway right? I'm planning on painting the nursery over Christmas when our lives a bit less busy and then once I'm on maternity leave, I can finish off all the other bits I need to do. I'm not stressing, it will all come together in the end! Check out my bump update on the blog now #28weeks#bump#pregnancy#thirdtrimester#timestotreasure
It appears that everything was going wrong in our house last night. 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ The oven broke and later this little man was sick all over his bed. 🤢
We spent today at home and he is as right as rain (that’s such a weird phrase when you think about it!). 🌧😂 Cheeky little monkey pulling faces at me when I was taking photos for a blog post earlier! 😂
Just hoping that nobody else is sick now!
When it comes to looking through photos of our family adventures, you could be mistaken for thinking that I wasn't even there. I am hidden behind the camera, taking the photos to recall our memories at a later date. Whilst I don't like being in front of the camera (I always seem to look awkward and uncomfortable), it is important that my children know I was there and can look back on these days.⠀
Last weekend I was determined to be in the picture more and requested photos to be taken of myself with the children. I just need to be braver about asking strangers to take photos of us all together.⠀
Do you shy away from the front of the camera?
Do you still have time for pumpkin spam? Haha were feeling all the seasons right now and itching to get the tree up!! I’m trying to hold off but it’s not easy 🎄🎄🎄🎄 when are you putting the decorations up?
Jumping for joy ✨ .
Rosie is pretty much back to her normal self, a little bit fussy with her food, but she is good. I’m really looking forward to a day with her tomorrow but I have no idea where to go or what to do. Any ideas Surrey Mamas?
I visited my favourite place on Sunday West Wittering Beach. Beaches aren't there to be only visited in the hot summer months, they are beautiful all year around. OK admittedly they are better when the sun is shining and it's cold! The kids don't care, the sand is better to write in during the winter months! #WestWittering#Hampshire#BeachDays
On Sunday we went to a lovely Christmas Fair at Poltimore House near Exeter. I knew this 300 year old Manor House was in need of restoration but really was not prepared for the amount of work required. So sad to see what would have been a stunning place literally crumbling away. I’m not sure if you would know where to start with the repairs. Happily came home with 4 new Christmas Tree decorations to add to our eclectic collection. More West Country Christmas Fairs and events on my blog, post link in the bio. 🎁🎄. - - #christmasevents#christmasfair#christmasshopping#Devon#exploringexeter#restorationproject#grade2listed
Weekend adventures but not with my usual clan. Me and my two lovely sisters took our Mamma to the Lake District to celebrate her birthday. No babies, no husbands just us.
It was possibly the first time in about 7 years that we could chat without one of us holding a baby, or wiping a dirty nose 🙄 or half listening to each other whist keeping an eye on the little ones. Oh it was bliss, and whilst we missed our lovely little families I'm kinda hoping we don't have to wait another seven years before the next one ( the husband's possibly feel a little different 😂)
Completely unrelated to the this photo I took at Bodnant Gardens a couple of weeks back BUT that face mask I just plastered all over my face was probably the best choice I’ve made today.
Well, that and chicken kievs for tea 👊🏻
When it comes to traditions, visiting Drayton Manor has to be one of our family traditions. Having first visited when Roo was just two years old and we’ve been back several times each year since. Last year we finally made it over to the Drayton’s Magical Christmas. Having loved it so much we returned again this year.⠀
Where do you go to visit Father Christmas?
