#buoncompleannoamoremio

The shirt is not wrong.
Bodie and I go to a weekly toddler story time together.
Most moms sit on the floor with their little ones. I sit on a chair in the back, because Bodie needs some space so he can work the room. He wouldn’t sit by me if I sat on the floor anyway so I might as well be comfortable 😂
First stop: the teacher up front. He runs to her, dances, and turns around to help her teach songs to the group with energy and passion that rivals broadway.
Second stop: sitting on a little ledge behind the teacher so he can check out the other toddler friends and run to say, “Hi”. Final stop: Bodie’s new friend “Len”, an older gentleman who Bodie always greets by poking him in his belly and then sitting right on his lap. I am thankful that Len always responds with a laugh and gives Bodie a pat on the head.
I had no idea what I was missing out on before I became Bodie’s mom. All of my boys bring me the deepest joy I’ve ever experienced. Being their mom is one of my greatest gifts. But, Bodie puts his own twist on that joy. He pulls at the hardest and softest parts of my heart and challenges me to be more, to see more in him and in others.
I am devoted to sharing his worth. No mom should have to feel like she needs to prove the value of her child, but this is sometimes the harsh reality of a special needs parent.
If I could choose one thing to share with all of you, it would be that the vulnerable are some of our greatest assets and these people,
the beautiful community sporting an extra chromosome adds far more to this world than they could ever take from it 💛 .
