J’ADORE cette photo, la simplicité de mon visage, le côté raw et sensible, mon acné kystique sans gêne, mes cheveux dégagés, le visage neutre... C’est honnêtement une des photos plus belles de moi - à mon avis.

Today I made gf + v waffles and attempted to make them oil free too. I adapted minimalist bakers recipe but unfortunately my waffle iron is a little crappy and I ended up having to use coconut oil...although they STILL stuck. If you watch my story you'll see these things were ripped into little pieces but I put them back together, smothered them in almond butter, maple syrup, pomegranate seeds, shredded coconut and chocolate chips. You can't even tell that they were a disaster. Plus, they were delicious, so all is good! #vegan#glutenfree

These two pictures were taken just days apart, on a walk I’ve been doing a lot lately. It begins and ends at this playground, and I really can’t decide which season suits the walk best 😅. (although i’m gonna miss trying the muscle ups here). which would you prefer? ☀️or❄️ And cliché or not, I 100% feel becoming vegan has made me become more in touch with nature and appreciate it a lot more. Everything has a place, and we are no exception. We should not be deciding what lives and dies based on our tastebuds, fashion choices, or anything else. 🐘=🐄=🐖=🦒🐀🕊🦍🦑🐍🦂🐋🦓
I’ve been dying to try the Impossible Burger and @bampowburgers is doing an all vegan version with pimento cheese and special sauce! What’s more, it’s located at @levelbeer for maximum enjoyment. I found out about this last night and got here as soon as I could. It did not disappoint!
Friday night we will be accepting donations for all the residents at Goats with Horns Animal Sanctuary and Aimees Farm Animal Sanctuary at @zennightsaz BLACK FRIDAY Block Party. Come by and learn about local activism while giving to a great cause. Thank you @rhyan_rescue_girl for always putting the animals first <3
This is everyday life for animals in the meat industry. A baby LAMB stolen from its mother right after birth. How would you feel if your baby was stolen from you?

The cruel lamb industry..a baby stolen from his mother. It’s absurd that some individuals on this planet strongly believe that animals can’t feel pain or emotions. We are animals too. If we feel pain, they feel pain. The relationship between a child and a mother is so sacred and all mothers should be granted the most basic right to care for their children. But it’s not like that in the animal exploitation industry. RepostBy @theugglytruth: "The cruel lamb industry..a baby stolen from his mother.
“The world doesn’t even think of her as a mother. But to her baby, she is the world.”
Doesn't this look like the most creamy porridge on earth? My BF took the picture during our Road Trip - I would say, he has the job as my personal photographer. What do you think?
🌱 2 cups non-dairy milk
🌱 1 banana, mashed
🌱 1 tbsp hemp seeds, hulled
🌱 1 tbsp chia seeds
🌱 1 tbsp flax meal
🌱 1 tsp cinnamon
🌱 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
🌱 1 cup oats
Add all ingredients besides the oats to a small pot and turn on medium heat. Cook for some minutes. Add oats and cook for another three minutes until the porridge gets a creamy consistency. Add topping of choice.
Schaut dieses Porridge nicht aus, wie das cremigste der Welt? Mein Freund hat das Bild während unserem Road Trip gemacht. Ich würde sagen, er hat den Job als mein persönlicher Fotograf. Was sagt ihr?
🌱 2 Tassen Lieblingspflanzenmilch
🌱 1 zerdrückte Banane
🌱 1 EL Hanfsamen, geschält
🌱 1 EL Chiasamen
🌱 1 EL Leinsamen, gemahlen
🌱 1 TL Zimt
🌱 1/2 TL Vanilleextrakt
🌱 1 Tasse Haferflocken

Not everyday as a vegan is full of light and laughter. Not everyone sees your point of view. Some people take it a few steps too far over the line and feel the need to bully the compassionate because they can’t deal with their own issues. As vegans we are always told to not push our ways and the truth behind animal cruelty, the effects it’s having on our planet, our health, etc. Yet we can be bombarded with hate and negativity. I don’t want to say this because it makes things sound really bad, but to be honest they are really bad in my eyes. For years (it’s almost my 4 year veganversary!) I have put up with family making fun of my “new” lifestyle. Telling me that food is vegan and after I am excited they’ve made something for me I find that it “just has a little butter,” or “you need to just eat meat and be normal,” or “you’re making things hard for yourself because you should choose to ignore what happens to animals.” I would be lying to myself if I thought I were the only one in this position. I urge you to speak your peace here. Let it out. With the holiday in the US coming upon us that celebrates a turkey carcass, I find myself already being bullied by family. Cooking and bringing my own food isn’t enough to keep them quiet, they still feel the need to make phone calls to tell me to be “normal.” I’ve researched this, and have found really sad results of this bullying. I found letters to family and friends trying to explain politely why they don’t want to eat or see animals at happy family gatherings, and I’ve even found out that a 12 year old boy was bullied to such an extent he felt the need to take his own life (RIP Louie Fenton). So if this is a holiday where we are supposed to be thankful for each other, why can’t we all just celebrate in peace? This cauliflower roast by @hotforfood was insanely amazing btw! If you haven’t thought of a main dish for your Thanksliving celebration....try this!!!
Hunting is not a sport. It is not entertainment. It is not a bonding experience for you and whoever you go with. It's the killing of an amazing, innocent, wild animal. There is no reason to do it that outweighs the importance of that animal's life. If that animal could consent, and say sure let's make a game of who can kill who first, I'd say have at it. But they can't, and they are definitely not agreeing to be shot in the head, posed with as a trophy, or being eaten.
If you're one of those "hunting controls the population" people then why don't we release the 1.5 million of cats and dogs from shelters that get euthanized every year and you can hunt them and control that population? Why is one okay and the other is not? There can be no difference between the life of a dog and the life of a deer or pheasant or rabbit. We love seeing these animals when we drive by, and we marvel at their beauty and how adorable they are, and yet people justify murdering them.
It makes me physically sick.
Fishing is no different, whether you fish and keep or fish and throw back. If you throw back, understand that those fish still die as a result of injuries. They usually die by starvation.
If you are someone who is capable of pointing a gun or arrow at another living being and shooting and this does not bother you, then we are fundamentally different people. "The most disturbing thing of all is the glorification of cruelty...but I shall have to express a very deep conviction: that until we have the courage to recognize cruelty for what it is - whether its victim is human or animal - we cannot expect things to be much better in the world. There can be no double standard. We cannot have peace among men whose hearts find delight in killing any living creature. By every act that glorifies or even tolerates such moronic delight in killing, we set back the progress of humanity." - Rachel Carson
Earlier today, I started feeling an itch in my throat, so now I’m sipping this Immune Support @yogitea with some fresh ginger, lemongrass, and lemon, while I work on school assignments 📚.. I also had an immunity juice at Whole Foods and ate a 🥄spoonful of raw garlic 🙊bc now is not the time to be sick!🙅🏻😰
It’s our 11 month anniversary today and I love Nick more than all the vegan food the world has ever seen. Here’s to more adventures, accomplishments, and vegan food festivals. I love you more than the whole world a million times over ❤️
Had this traditional soy paste noodles w a spoonful of hot chili 😋 Double check w them which dishes are vegan, they said that except the fried things, just asked them to replace mock meat w veggies then it's all vegan 👍🏻. Little tip for you when you visit these kind of vegetarian stand in Taiwan, if they're quite busy, just ask them to replace the mock meat(some of them contain egg) w veggies and basically you'll be all fine 😁. However, it's safer to ask them when it's possible❤️
Today's word: 素肉(su-rou)>> mock meat
Going shopping for Thanksgiving groceries tomorrow? How about Collard Greens, Black Eye Peas, Potato Salad, Mushroom White wine Gravy, Candied Yams and Vegan Cornbread? Full recipes link in my profile! I'll be at the grocery store tomorrow too! 💚
My sister took me out to an amazing brunch the other day! Free soul caffé is a vegan restaurant in Tustin, just a few miles from Disneyland. I had this breakfast sandwich with veggie bacon, grilled tofu, spinach, roasted red peppers, and some sort of amazing red sauce. My sister had a beautiful bowl of oatmeal with vegan butter and all the fixins!
Just a friendly reminder that being thankful for something doesn’t mean you have to contribute to the mass murdering of one particular animal to make it valid. Please choose compassion this year over “tradition”. Skipping 1 item off of your plate is super easy lovebugs !! The turkeys will thank you 🦃💗✨🌱 #crueltyfree#thanksgiving#turkeyfree#choosecompassion#friendsnotfood
