There are alot of vendors that do a faaaar better job displaying/selling vintage clothing (major props to them!)...but when we DO dip our toes into that pool, it's a safe bet its with worn, beautiful old denim and plaid in some form. It's just what we love. It's what can still be seen on worn, beautiful farms today...and that's pretty darn awesome in our book. These & more will be at #oldhousevintagemarket !
A lovely pair of shabby hand painted vases that feature flowers and a fanciful gold three dimensional relief. Perfect vases for some vintage farm themed escapism. 🐓🎨🍓 Milk glass has been around since the 16th century, but became particularly popular in the 1880s. 🎩 On sale for $36 #movingsale#auroramorticia#milkglassmonday#itsmondaysomewhere 🤔
My proxy barn, another keeper. I don't know if I will ever have a real barn so for now this one has to do. In for-sale news, today I rummaged through boxes and gathered farm-garden treasures to add to the wheat-themed for-sales I posted yesterday. Coming this week... A few more pieces of Pyrex, floral tins, creamers and sugar bowls, some framed art, assorted farm animal objects, and more.
TWO activities with our vintage Farm Domino game:
1️⃣Sorting activity: animal, food, tool. Yes, I'm aware I took the term "tool" loosely :)
2️⃣MAKE UP A STORY GAME! Guys, this is such a huge hit right now. My son is often asking us to "make up a silly story" so I wanted to give him an opportunity to make his own up in a unique way: using our little farm cards as story prompts. So, we randomly picked 4-5 items and took turns making up stories with those items. He loved it. I loved it. He made dad do it when he got home from work, and did another story of his own. I love seeing his imagination fly.

KEPT! I had these up for sale for two days but have been hankering after them my own self. I already have the three smaller ones in storage on the west coast but don't have the largest one, nor enough mixing bowls here in my new place on the east coast. So these are keepers for me and I am so in love... May sell the three piece set when I get stuff from storage. Autumn Harvest Pyrex mixing bowls. Four piece set with minor surface scratches. These are all the same dark rust color. This is one of my favorite patterns and colors. Hard to find four piece sets with single darker rust like this... Usually I see sets with two different color bowls. Bowl sizes 401, 402, 403, 404. They all have original shiny finish though the largest one looks a little dull in first photo.
In the old calendar today is Lammas, or Lughnasadh, ancient celebration of the early harvest and threshing of grain.
I was so excited to find these wheat sheaf brooches at two different estate sales earlier this year and they are now happily part of my personal collection... But stay tuned for other harvest and farm-related treasures available for purchase. Today I am launching into online sales!
