I feel like yesterday was ten days long. We finished a ton of packing and loading, said a few more goodbyes and drove our first 400 miles westward. .
It was surreal. It was exhausting. There were tears, but there was laughter. There was a sunset as we crossed into Utah that told us things. It insisted I quit thinking about what was behind me, as it practically screamed for my attention forward. If my time in Colorado has taught me anything, it's that nature is always wiser than me.
As we pulled into our not-too-cringe-worthy Super 8 motel last night, it started to all seem a little less surreal. We turned on the football game and drank beers we brought with us from Colorado. Anything to distract us from the fact that we weren't sitting in a central Utah motel with our entire life parked right outside.
Before drifting off to sleep in our mediocre bed, we made some changes to the next couple days of our route. For the first time in a while, we went to bed feeling less uncertain, and more adventurous. I think being on the road is magic like that.
3 years ago today this handsome man was born. Montana, you made me a better person, and I say that with gratitude. Those eyes, they seem to have a way of staring into my heart and dare me to be better, to give you the very best I can. And that is what I hope to do for you. Give you all that I can. To many more years of smiles, adventures, and laughter.
Hey everyone! Most of you know me already, but if you don't then hi! 👋 I'm Rebecca and I'm a photographer living in Denver. I'm married to an amazing man named Brett. We have two crazy but sweet dogs 🐶, and we love to explore the outdoors! Stick around for photos of all our adventures, and of course cute dog photos 😊
On this day, 10 years ago, I landed in Telluride for the very first time. It was 60 degrees & there wasn’t much snow...a lot like today! I had no idea what was in store for me back then when I was a novice ski bum, but here it is! I really can’t put into to words how much love & gratitude I have for this place, and these people ❤️🙏🏼🍀 📷 @krispiercephoto

Been discovering a lot of new hiking in my home town lately, including Squaw Mountain. This is a great short hike with very little elevation gain. It’s close to Denver and has awesome mountain views, check out the new post of it in my bio!
Feeling extra thankful for all of the amazing places, hikes with our pups, and wild west adventures we've had so far in 2017 💚 Andd pretty excited for another big adventure coming up before the new year! More to come👊 #nofilter#happythanksgiving

The San Juan Mountains near Silverton last May. Along South Mineral Creek.
I am going through all my photos taken this past year looking for ones that I have missed, and sure enough I am finding tons of them. So expect many more taken from this past year.
