I want to be completely transparent on this journey: I did not want to go to the gym yesterday. At all. I had an amazing salad for lunch (I don't normally eat much salad) and NOW I REMEMBER WHY. I was in so much pain digesting for the rest of the evening but I needed to get Monday in. To say I'm happy I finally did something about my weight would be the understatement of the year. It's been a two year journey and I'm still going. No, I did not lose 200 lbs in a year like some crappy tea promises you. It's taken that long to get 70lbs off of my body and I'm still working to change my relationship with food. I'm happy I finally loved me enough to work on my health. I've never had any weight related health issues; no hypertension, no stress on joints, no diabetes, nothing. Why should we wait until we're FORCED to change? Why not do something now?

Should we eat breakfast or skip it for weight loss? 
It depends on you. Decide which option is best for you by answering the following questions; 
Do you feel hungry in the morning? 
Does skipping breakfast make you overeat later on the day? 
Do you eat late in the evening? 
Keeping your blood sugar leveled is crucial for weight loss. Skipping meals can alarm your body and kick in the fight or flight response. The body’s response to fight or flight is preserving and storing fat. Losing weight is impossible or a huge struggle in this state. 
I recommend you to have meals regularly when you want to lose weight. Keep your meals healthy, don’t fill up, just eat enough! 
I usually take at least 12 sometimes 14 hours break in between my dinner and breakfast. It gives my body enough time to rest and repair.  If you are not hungry in the morning, you might be eating dinner too late. Eating late dinners is not only not good for weight loss, but when the body digest, it is not resting and repairing. As a result, you might wake up tired and sluggish in the morning. 
Get to know your body, and if you have to, adjust your meals accordingly to reach your goals!

Catching up on my meal prep!! Sweet Potatoes are my favorite side!! Cut them in 1/2 inch slices. Next, spray bottom of tray with a little olive oil and put the sweet potatoes on the tray. Finally,  sprinkle the potatoes with McCormick cajun season!!! Bake at 350 until golden brown🍴😍❀️
