Baked teriyaki tofu, broccoli, grated carrot & brown basmati rice with some leftover teriyaki sauce mixed through. It was yum!!
Ivy only left a couple of carrot strips & Pops left a piece of tofu & some rice. I’ll take that as a win considering they both said “yuck” when they sat down to eat it!! Meanwhile, hubby & I demolished ours!
This teriyaki sauce is dead simple! It’s a thumb sized piece of ginger, 3 tbsps of rice malt syrup & 1 tbsp of tamari plus as extra splash all mixed together. I marinated the tofu for about 20 mins then baked it in the oven for around 30mins on 175C.
Chocolate and peanut butter protein shake 🥜 .
One scoop peanut butter cookie protein, one banana, one tsp raw cocoa powder, one tbsp peanut butter and blend 🦄
Smoothies make protein so much more palatable I think and helps me to squeeze in some of my five a day. I had this with my breakfast (oats obvs) and not instead of it
Put in a lightbulb glass cause I'm so hipster 👀 .
I have refrained from chips over the past week...it’s been a battle but usually I would have them pretty much everyday, amongst other things of course!
Have a listen to find out what a usual day of food is like, and apologies to my darling mum who I imitate very badly...!
But it is funny that because I’m vegan she thinks the only thing she can cook me is mushrooms on toast!😂🤣.
And the warm lemon water I have every morning (to save the googling) is squeezing a whole lemon into some boiled warm water, along with a tsp of apple cider and a drop of Himalayan sole water.
Other than that, I NEVER count calories, fat grams or worry about carbs...it’s just the damn chips I’m a bit concerned about😋😭💚
Yummiest smoothie bowl for breakfast from my new What I Eat in a Day vid! The link to watch is in my bio @soulintheraw
It's funny because I am getting more and more people into smoothie bowls, which is super awesome! Because they are literally like eating mega nutritious ice cream that you make in 5 minutes. Literally the best meal ever :)
✨Forgiving, understanding... but not a fool. ✨🌱❤️
🌱#PlantBasedLiving : Tamarind sour soup, dry cooked 🍆 (no oil no salt literally plain but amazing) & vegan coconut curry w/ a bit of @yvesveggiecuisine meatless grounds & veg on jasmine rice. #dindin
One thing that I ❤️about my career is trying new foods. Allow me to introduce you to gooseberries!
I'm pretty sure as a kid I thought they were a fairy tale berry. Found them in the store this week & am definitely a fan.
A subtly sweet taste with a grape-like texture, these berries have a table decoration-worthy husk. Standout nutrition is the power punch of vitamin C.
Any gooseberry recipes out there??
Cheese and bean burritos for supper, one of my first intentional meatless suppers....It was so good! I mixed taco seasoning and garlic in with the blended beens and didn't miss the meat at all!
Loaded with red and yellow peppers, onion, tomato, mushrooms, corn and jalapenos. I will definitely make this again! Served with salsa and sour cream.
This weeks produce haul 😋 grapes, strawberries, zucchini, cucumber, asparagus, baby red potatoes (Wyatts favorite), yellow squash, collard greens, Dino kale, celery, bananas, and parsley.
•Fun fact: I literally never buy grapes because organic is SO expensive but today @wholefoods had a freakin awesome sale on them so, TREAT YO SELF! 💃🏻
My time spent in New York left me craving some delicious Italian eats, but I avoided it to hop back on the get it tight, get it right (read: homemade, mostly plant based dinners) train. So coming home from work to a healthy alternative prepared by the love of my life made my heart...and my stomach full.
salad, spaghetti squash & seitan
Oooh somethings peeeekin ooouutt :) I made a pretty simple salad tonight with a homemade dressing! The salad was red leaf lettuce and tomatoes and the dressing consisted of avocados, garlic, chives, cilantro, lemon juice and a tiny bit of water.
Bodytype: definitely likes food 🙋🏼 !! Foods that helps me be the best me 😋 foods that support the kind of lifestyle I wanna live! Talking supplements on my next blog post as you’ve been asking about it - stay tuned 👀 #eattoheal
I've been counting macros, so my meals have been more rounded and protein focused instead of carb focused. Today's lunch: salad with ranch dressing, falafel and shrimp. @madegoodfoods grabola bites in the small container. Not pictured: Greek yogurt
