Sunday... the beginning of the week.
For me, it's the end! 7 day stretch concludes today and I'm looking forward to spending the next 5 days with my littles (except for school time of course!). Sunday usually comes with a sense of foreboding or anxiety about the week to come. So much to do and not enough time or energy to do it. So much of your energy going out for others, there's nothing left for you.
I had time to do my workout earlier but chose later for a few reasons.
▪ If I am anxious about the upcoming week, I process that anxiety during the workout - I usually have a more peaceful, rested sleep.
▪ If I push my levels to the end of the day, I will simply be too tired at the end of the workout to overthink! :)
▪ I end my weekend and begin my week on a positive note for both my physical and mental self.
▪ It's my time. No one else's. The kiddos are asleep after stories, showers and snuggles. I get to be where I want to be, doing something for me.
Today's workout was 35 minutes of bulk shoulders and added 20 minutes of ab work. A minor shoulder tweak with a patient today meant I had to back off the weights but I got it done. For me. No one else.
I've spent years pushing to the limit, giving so much of me there was nothing left. I got lost, unhappy, depressed and unhealthy. No self-love or self-worth.
Too many poor choices lead to poor outcomes.
You can change that.
Small steps- take the stairs, don't add sugar, eat more veggies, get more fresh air, turn off the tech, sit quietly by yourself, meditate.
Take back your Sunday. Take charge of your week. Take back what makes you... you.
Every day is a new beginning.
Sunday... the beginning of the week.
A new chance for self - love and to take care of you. ♡
First of all, 🤷🏻♂️.
Heading into this week ready to endure all that comes with peak week. Mostly excited for classic and to have fun with it more than anything. And after that, I’ll be taking some time off to grow and develop in areas that need attention. I’ve realized over the last two weeks that just because I’m qualified for Nationals doesn’t mean I’m ready. I don’t want to do a national show just because I’m qualified, I want to do one when I am ready to, and there’s a difference. Which means I get to enjoy more food again 😋😋. #whateverittakes
In honor of Counties week! What a wild and fast ride this season has been, how is it Counties already?! Time flies when you’re having fun! Sending love and thanks to this team and my fellow coaches, every season is another chapter and I’m so grateful for each of you to be a part of it. Let’s give these last few days everything we’ve got and be undeniable! And a special shout out to my #CharlieStrong the last time we competed at Tech you were there, hoping to feel you there once again Dad! #MountUp#Greatness#Whateverittakes#CMWCheer#eyeofthetigertime#ladiesinblack#nevergivingup#nevergivingin
Today I was willing to do whatever it took to have an easy grocery trip... That meant going to Brookshires to let both kids push a shopping cart. I don’t know how many looks I got, but I felt like I was winning, (no fits, no fighting over who was pushing the cart, and no meltdowns) they had a blast!! It’s been 27 days since I have seen my husband and since they have seen their daddy! We are all so ready for tomorrow!! People really don’t give stay at home moms enough credit. They think we have it so easy, but I tell people often this is harder than any 8-5 job I ever had, but it’s the most rewarding. Even with both kids going to school it’s still HARD, especially when your husband works away. I can’t complain much because I’m thankful and there is no other job I ever want. ❤️ #StayAtHomeMom#MomLife#ToddlerLife#WhateverItTakes#OilfieldLife#RaisingReynauds#Blessed
Lovely article featuring Josh's business @gloruddesign in today's paper @duluthnews (even a taste on the cover!) It's a great story that covers how Josh got started in paddle making (delayed wedding gift for yours truly 🤗) all the way to what he's working on today (new furniture out of the beloved 4th Street maple trees that had to come down)! So great to see his hard work and dedication to his craft being celebrated locally. 🙌
