Here's my plan for tonight! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Getting a first sip of this iconic and historic sweet delight and keeping the rest to evolve further into my wine experiences. @coravin_fr ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😍 This is a piece of living history: in the 18th and 19th centuries, Constantia was one of the world’s great sweet wines, but it disappeared with the phylloxera crisis in the late 19th century. But since 1986 Klein Constantia have been making a sweet Constantia which they have labelled Vin de Constance based on the original wines
Botrytis wasn’t a feature of the original Constantia wines, because it wasn’t present in the Cape at that time. For the sake of historical accuracy, therefore, Vin de Constance is a late-harvest style made from Muscat de Frontignan (aka Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains) grapes, without botrytis. First plantings of these Muscat vines were in 1982, and the first release of the new era Constantia was the 1986 vintage, released in 1990. If you ever wonder, the unique bottle shape pays homage to the hand-blown glass bottles of the original elixir favoured by nobility across the globe. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm Happy and impressed #coravin fits on the weirdly shaped flask. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Happy wine Wednesday! If you're looking for a great white wine, I highly recommend the Cup and Rings. This Godello is fruity and soft after being aged on fine lees.
Their Albariño is also exceptional, with lots of citrus freshness.
Wednesday’s Wine Trivia is sponsored by the freezing cold weather. Most people think of red wines and fireplaces, but we say no! A full-bodied Chardonnay at R Bar will make you feel just as warm and fuzzy. Did you know the perfect temperature to drink white wine is around 55 degrees? No need to overchill it – we’re all cold enough.
Come warm yourselves up with us tonight! 🤗 From 6-9pm, we will be offering four flatbreads and a delicious pasta special! Bucatini pasta and Meatballs. Tossed with Marinara and topped with shaved Parmesan and Gremolata. 🍝
Wednesday? More like wines-day! This presentation was created for @chateaustemichelle Winery. Italian partner winery, Antinori gave a presentation on the topic of creating value in the very competitive high-end wine space. See this project and more on our website. (LINK IN BIO)
Freshly picked bunch of Pinot Gris grapes from Alsace. Did you know Pinot Gris is a red grape variety? It is the same grape as Pinot Grigio (the Italian name) and is a mutation of Pinot Noir. When the French named the Pinot Gris grape, they were simply calling it as they saw it. Pinot – originally Pineau – is derived from the word for pine, because the grape bunches of the Pinot family have a similar appearance to pine cones. Gris means grey because when ripe, the grape takes on a dusky greyish sheen. Because they start of as red grapes some winemakers produce pale pink Pinot Gris with some skin contact, which can also add a little more structure to the wine. 📸: @andersfrederiksteen #winEducation#pinotgris#harvesttime#handpickedgrapes#winemaking#grapes#vineyard#vines#winecountry#viticulture#pinotgrigio#pinot#winefacts

What an amazing few days @topdrawerlondon! A chance to talk to people about something I love and be around actual grown ups for hours at a time! I even had the opportunity to miss my children!! 👦🏼👧🏼❤️ Today though it’s been back to a fairly endless soundtrack of whinging whilst trying to do emails one handed because “I want to sit with you Mummy” 🙄 or else being interrupted every few minutes by having to get the snack hunting Little Miss off the work surface again... 😬 There’s no white wine in the house so I’ve bolted to the corner shop for an emergency bottle, and with a huge to do list still to tackle and hours of work ahead of me tonight I remember why I’m working this hard: to pay for more childcare 👀🙈😂 Anyone else?! #jokes#kinda#wineoclock#thejuggleisreal#thismamadoes
