In it together.... 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏻♂️running and lets face it LIFE can sometimes be lonely. I've struggled a lot with anxiety, stress and loneliness but find the running community so kind and mostly really inclusive- especially after the reaction to yesterday's exciting announcement.
So let's do this together🙌🏻, lets Run up 2 Christmas and raise funds for MIND, the amazing mental health charity. This isn't a run streak, (yay!) you choose how many KM/miles you want to run between 1st-25th December - 50KM,100KM, 150KM, 200KM or 250KM. I think I'm going to try for 150KM! That works out as 6K a day. Lets try to be really supportive of everyone taking part, follow the hashtag, comment, like, make their day. So excited for some of the awesome IG ladies taking part @gracerunsldn (thanks for today’s inspiration Grace!!) @murraylaura @coreylearn @jersey_girl08
I've got a code RUNNERBEANS for 10% off entry into the virtual run. Sign up today @runup2christmas @mindcharity #mentalhealthawareness#runningformentalhealth#runup2christmas#inthistogether
8km with my little guy today ✔ Avg pace 6:11/km avg HR 141bpm. 6.5km at easy pace and some hill "sprints" (quotations because me "sprinting" with the double is really just me struggling at a slightly faster pace 😂) at the end for kicks 😉 The weather was amazing with the sun shining down on us. After yesterday's wind storm I was certain that today was going to be another treadmill run so we're happy for that time outdoors 😊🎉 Baby boy is feeling much better today and had an amazing sleep (and so did this mama)! Thanks for all your well wishes 😘💖

This popped up on my timehop today. This was the first run in my what were then new trainers.
Since then they have taken me through 2 10ks, 2 half marathons and many many training runs. They’re not quite this pink anymore but I still love them. •
How often should I be changing my trainers? They still feel good and look ok; I am up to 434km. •
Ganz klares: JA!
I’m honoured to be on team @bejuststrong as a new ambassador. Just Strong takes pride in reminding girls, teens and women to embrace the #strongnotskinny . Their running & fitness apparel is awesome too. Use MWITTER10 for a super discount. #juststrong
#throwbackthursday World AG Championships 2010 Budapest 🇬🇧. I look like sh*t, I felt like sh*t, it was cold and sheeting down with rain, I was covered in ten tonnes of god knows what from the swim (if you need proof of how grim it was check out Ali Brownlee’s mud moustache in the men’s elite race!) and I wanted to stop pretty much from the gun.........but I didn’t; I kept telling myself I had come for a Union Jack and I was bloody going to get one even if I was dead last and had to walk! And after what felt like hours, I finally crossed over the Chain Bridge and a lovely team admin was handing me my flag; I cried my eyes out all the way down the blue carpet!! In the end I wasn’t dead last, I didn’t have to walk and I had my Union Jack which I have kept to this day.
Getting back into running with a little person has been really tough; my body went through a lot and doesn’t always do as my mind thinks it should, but the graft is worth it for moments like this. I would love to pull on the blue tri-suit again one day and have Luke there with me; 40th birthday I reckon!!
It's nearly here! We've got our alarm set to press the enormous red SALE button at midnight tonight!

Thursday morning 10k 🏃♀️not a personal best but a little better than Tuesday and getting more consistent 🙌 I think it might be the fact that I was late dragging myself out of bed this morning that forced me to run a little bit better 😂 also it's my fave weather out today, real sunny but crisp ☺️ the uni campus in particular looked amazing! 👌comfy jumper time and coffee with one of my faves this morning #morningrun#morning10k#wakeup#manchester#ilovemcr#winterrun
‘Days are expensive. When you spend a day no amount of money will buy it back. Make sure you spend each day wisely and surround yourself with people and things that make you feel happy. Life is too short for anything less!’
60min <145 HR run & working on my cadence. Then some strides...yay!! 🤗🤗 Felt good to unwind the legs a little 😀
Free race pictures? Gilbert Half Marathon is doing something right 👏🏼
I feel basically completely recovered and had my first effort workout tonight😊 I GET TO TRAIL RUN YALL!!
Something I’ve been thinking about lately - the best friends are the ones that you can share your accomplishments with and be genuinely celebrated. Most people would rather see you fail than see you succeed, and it speaks volumes about you how you react to other’s success. Think about how it made you feel when someone close to you succeeded in something difficult - were you thoroughly excited and happy for them or were you jealous? Did you wish that they had failed? Probably a sign that something within you needs to be healed. Be a good friend, grow as a person, and learn to be ok with others kicking ass at life too🌱
Good morning turkeys!!! Glorious morning here in Holland! Even though we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here, I made sure to celebrate with a warm run, a @rocyclestudios ride and a cool down run for a smoothie! All the happy endorphins flowing! Enjoy your holiday!!
Team member Livvy (@thenutritiousrunner) is throwing is back to when she first discovered and fell in love with running whilst living in Hong Kong! There are just 10 days left to sign up for the #twelvedaymarathon (don't worry, the challenge doesn't start until Christmas day) but spots are filling fast! Our challenge is open to everyone, walkers, joggers, runners....we believe you are ALL capable of 26.2 miles over 12 days...and we will give you a nice shiny marathon finishers medal at the end 😉 link is in bio to head to our website!
The China Coast Half Marathon 2017 was my first ever half, and I just had an email reminder for the 2018 one so felt like doing a #throwbackthursday .
It was stunning, it was hilly and it was brutal. The route takes you through the hills of Sai Kung which are some pretty big, long and steep hills. The scenery was just beautiful, and I really wanted to stop and takes photos but was so focused on not stopping. My training hadn't gone exactly to plan, and I had to take a few weeks off before the race which broke my heart. The furthest I had ran was 10 miles, but I did that a month before the race, so peaked too soon. I knew I wasn't going to be able to run it in 2.15 (my original secret goal) so I just said to myself, finish it, your goal is to finish. I surprisingly felt pretty strong until mile 10, the last 3 were hellish. I sprinted on the down hills, and had a walk/run strategy for the ups which seemed to work. It isn't like the standard chartered Hong Kong half, with crowds etc, but there were the odd few cheerers at certain points and to be honest, the backdrop was so amazing that it didn't need the big crowds or atmosphere, because that would have stolen it's beauty. It was a pretty challenging race to have done for my first, but I love a challenge. I came in at around 2.25, and I was really happy with that. If you ever get to visit Hong Kong in January time, see if you can do this race, because for me it was really enjoyable! I would do it again...(and of course chase a new time 😉)
Morning! Heading into the studio after morning run 🏃🏻♀️- a week of steady 4Ks with high elevation (horrible hills 😫) I don’t ever stop now so can’t take as many pictures, it’s also mostly complete darkness (roll on Spring!) Thanks to everyone who advised on cross training - started walking the same route 3 times a week (conveniently as it’s also on the school run) and knee pain has completely gone 👍🏻🎉 xx
