Jumper Chop Shop 10-4pm Saturday 11th November. Tis the season of the jumper falalalalalalala! Alas however, most jumpers are boring and square and holey after a summer of fun, so here’s your chance to transform them into elegant works of art,
worthy to be in your Winter collection.
Bring along a few jumpers to chop up and we’ll recreate them into either a cardigan or a waste-coat.
Try to bring colours that blend well and try and go for wool rather than synthetics, as wool does actually keep you really warm and dry. Come for a lovely day out, learning new upcycling skills in Melfed, our curious quirkshop,
in Cardigan. £40 to include full tuition, use of Janome 525 Sewing machines & lunch, a hearty veg soup with lovely Bara Menyn bread – Yum!
Dewch i drawnsnewid casgliad o’ch hen siwmperi i mewn i wasgod neu gardigan a fydd yn eich harddu a’ch cynhesu drwy dymor y Gaeaf.
Dyma gyfle i godi mwy o sgiliau uwchgylchu mewn awyrchylch hamddennol braf yn ein gweithdy rhyfeddol, Melfed yn Aberteifi.
On 4 Nov we're setting up hay bales, stocking the watering hole and stringing up the bunting for this special barn dance inspired evening starring shimmering country artists, Wild Ponies.
Although they’re based in Nashville, Wild Ponies have always looked to Southwest Virginia for inspiration (where bandmates Doug and Telisha Williams were both born and raised). There, in mountain towns like Galax, old-time American music continues to thrive, supported by a community of fiddlers, flat-pickers and fans. @wildponiesmusic dynamic vocals and impressive range of styles (from folk and American to alt-country, swing and Crazy Horse-ish rattle-and-thump) are evident in their new album ‘Galax’ which pays tribute to their roots and progressive songwriting. Don’t miss the chance to swirl your partner in #aberteifi ! #countrymusic#altcountry#countrygirl#americanstyle#barndance#flatpacker#swingmusic#folk#folkster#dance#strawbales#gettogether

Who wants to be a clown? We have the great pleasure of welcoming Nose to Nose to @smallworldtheatre 21-22 Oct for a weekend of specialist adults Clowning tuition. No previous experience necessary, just you and your imagination. Clowning is a state of playfulness that brings us to experience a child-like, naïve and vulnerable state of being. Paradoxically we grow, learn and are strengthened through reconnecting playfully with what makes us most vulnerable. This approach to clowning is not a technique (tricks, gags and routines) but a personal journey towards finding one’s own unique way of being a clown, by listening and being receptive, essential skills for any creative and imaginative expression. It is only when we let go our control over things that we begin to be surprised by the depth of what reveals itself. Please ring us if you're interested in joining this small group and letting go! #clown#clowning#clowningforadults#clowningclass#play#tuition#performanceart#personaljourney#visitcardigan#aberteifi#visitceredigion
