This weekend I was pulling cards for a holiday art fair and it hit me how much 622 press has changed over the years: When I first started, most cards featured an image (usually flowers) with no text. However, my best sellers were always cards with sentiments, and I guess I've gone overboard—now I have all words and very few illustrations! Time to break out the sketchbook :) Also, this is our new coffee table, so get ready for #marblebackground everything 🙈
Check out the making of You're Invited, oil painting by HVH, from new canvas in the studio, to finished painting, to hanging in the collector's home!

Feeling a bit accomplished after finally getting a chunk of time this afternoon to sit down right here and power through some of my to-do list. And with the kids having min. days all week it’s a good way to start the week.
We did it, guys. Today we closed on our very first home. It felt surreal when they handed us the keys! Our hands are cramped from all the signatures and our fingers hurt from putting together furniture all night, but our hearts have never been so full. We're looking forward to our first weekend in this space of ours together (which btw, is total fate that we have NOTHING on our calendars 🙌🏼) full of moving, unpacking, and decorating. God is SO GOOD. I cannot get over all the many ways He continues to bless us and we're so so so grateful. Can't believe this is OUR HOME! 😭❤️
Why worry about switching out your wardrobe to fit the season, when you could convert an additional bedroom into a #closet instead? We’re sharing the best practices for making the switch (link in our bio) #organizeyourlife
Our #lakeviewkitchenreno blog post is up! You can see the full reveal of this kitchen, dining nook and kid-friendly lounge space. Our favorite part as usual is looking back at the "before" pictures...it's always so fun and rewarding. Hope you'll check it out...link in profile. ☺️💃
It was one of those days when hubby was off work yet we all felt so tired. He took two of the kids to an appt while I stayed home with another for school, prepped the kitchen & dining room and took some photos for a blog's post. That photography thing wore me out.... too many.... only to choose a few!! We ended with a little grocery shopping.... Now this bed is calling.
This week I’ve been putting my new @vitamix to the test and today I made my Raw Walnut Brownies. It passed with flying colors! In other news, my Mom has officially become the most popular topic in the history of THM. Apparently you’re all fans of Mama Maven😂 Make sure you check out my story where she’s teaching you guys how to clean your ovens/cleaned mine with only a tad bit of Jewish mother’s guilt...#theunhealthymaven
Literally planning a trip to Seattle just to see this incredible shop design in person! Amazing job @mooreaseal + my new girl crush @brooke_eide! 👌🏻⚡️💃🏻 (And the Moorea Seal stock isn't so bad either 😉 #dreamy )
We had beautiful weather today but unfortunately we are a man (or err.. lady) down today at our house. 🙇🏻♀️😖 Today was spent “momming”.. hoping tomorrow my baby is feeling back to normal so we can enjoy some of this autumn-y weather!
Hi friends it's Monday and I say that more as it's only Monday! 🙈 Trying to stay positive on Mondays isn't alway easy. To boost my spirits I love looking at accounts that inspire me and this one has all the goods. Have you seen Aniko's home over @place_ofmy_taste? She has the best boho vibes. Her use of texture, color and art are amazing. To top it off she is an artist too! She creates whimsical watercolor painting that just make me smile. 😁 💗🌿 #onetofollow
I couldn’t decide between macrame and yarn weaving... so I did both! Tying knots in front of the TV has never looked so good. ✂️ #bbdiy •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

This room (my living room) constantly distracts me, even though I have no less than five rooms/projects in various stages of incomplete at the moment. Like, what’s the best furniture arrangement for a room with three doorways and a fireplace? Should I wallpaper above the chair rail or install wainscoting floor to ceiling? Would five chairs in one small room be too many??? I find myself sitting in here almost weekly turning these thoughts over. I’m certain I’ll figure it out eventually but for now the room sits a bit unfinished and I need to focus my attention on actually completeing some of those other in-process projects!! http://liketk.it/2t5kQ
👋I’m back!! Sorry for the hiatus folks. I’ve been out of the city for the past ten days and decided to take a little self-care break. It was great to take a little breather but I’m ready to get back into the swing of things. I’ve also been working on some new products so keep an eye out for those launching next month! 🙌
🌿 We are still smiling today after our weekend away. It was the perfect mix of inspiration and innovation, connection and collaboration. We're entering the week ahead with a promise to take care of OURSELVES in addition to our loved ones and clients. What will you do for YOURSELF this week? 🌿 // photo by @shiragill
Let's talk subway tile! This material has been on my mind lately because we're using it in a client's upcoming kitchen renovation. We've been chatting about different styles, layouts, and grout colors - the options are really endless! Classic subway tile is 3"x6" and is typically laid in an offset brick style pattern, and while you can't go wrong with that, there are so many other interesting ideas out there that are worth thinking about. You can change up the size (4"x12" is my current fave), go with a dark grout for contrast, or try laying it in a cool pattern - any herringbone fans out there? Swipe right to see a few classic and more adventurous examples!
#sponsored by @BEHRPaint - Are you ready to see before photos of the room in our house that’s in the most embarrassingly bad shape?! We teamed up with Behr Paint for our study room makeover, and it’s SO much better than what it was before. See the before-and- afters, plus paint details, room sources, and upcoming plans on #sugarandcloth today! #BEHRPaint#BEHRTrends2018#sugarandclothcasa
Your space is not a STUFF graveyard. It is not where once relevant objects go to find their permanent resting places, never to be shifted again, as is customary with dead entities (with the exception of Dali, what with that woman claiming lineage managing to win her petition for exhumation. I digress.).
Your space, ideally, has a sense of lasting flux. A rotation. A cycle of adding and taking away. Of shifting the contents around much like a store would its merchandise. Not to unsettle you or your family, but so that what you own continues to entice you, to have a presence novel enough for you to actually notice.
Now--go change something around right now. Move a book. A piece of furniture. Inject a sense of newness to your most familiar.
