All thanks to @blanckittyyy 😸😸 who attended the @deciem event at the end of August, I was able to get both the 100% Plant-Derived Squalane and the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% (a brightening serum with Vit C) to try! 💕💕 I was actually most interested in "Buffet", but it was out of stock 😢😢 and being a toner lover, I was also disappointed that the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution had flew off the shelves too! Maybe next time!
I have tried the Squalane for a few days in my night routine 🌛⭐ and must say it does leave a "film" feeling on my face, but it isn't tacky...more like a protective layer of moisture. Not sure that I love that aspect of it, but I do feel a difference when I wake up as my skin is definitely less dry!😍😍 The website also states that it can be used on hair...so I think I may give that a try as well since I do colour my hair.
Tomorrow is officially back to school! 📚📚 I hope you all had a wonderful Labour Day long weekend..be it a yummy family bbq or just a simple relaxing day before getting the kiddos back into their routine, feeling well-rested is key! Sweet dreams. 😘😘
I've been on a steady stream of no makeup and a beauty regimen of serums from @deciem for 2 weeks and I'm beyond impressed with their products. My skin has never looked (and I'm 46) and felt better! I've taken almost every product to the test. The only product I don't like was the makeup remover! #abnormalbeautycompany#deciem#beauty#products#iam46#skincare
Niacinamide + Zinc by The Ordinary.
I first purchased this back in the spring and I instantly loved it. I used the last of it up a few days ago so I thought I would repost about its awesomeness.
While I don't have acne, I do have the occasional breakout and oily/usually congested skin. Because let's be honest I'm not 100% faithful to my skincare routine(the struggle is real). Enter this little beauty.
This decongests my pores, and helps fade any acne spots that have appeared. The high strength of niacinamide also noticeably brightens my skin and adds overall clarity. I usually notice a difference within a few days when I add this into my regimen, which is quite impressive. It's also $6! #winner#paleskin#beauty#skincare#oilyskin#theordinaryskincare#niacinamide#abnormalbeautycompany#deciem#kbeauty#serum#love#musthave

#arganoil has a polar charge matching your skins polarity making it the perfect oil to feed your skin. The added benefit of omega 3 and 6 help maintain the health and balance of the lipid membrane of your cells. These fatty acids MUST be obtained through your diet as your body can not produce them naturally making this oil a great addition to your skincare routine.
Most people view oil as a bad thing or as "acne causing" but polar oils like argan do not clog the pores. Non polar oils, such as mineral oil, sit on the surface of the skin and if not removed can cause blemishes! •
Try this again- I really wanted to rave about how much I loved my new @deciem products- instead, I got a crushed box, taped back together, and filled with industrial janitorial hand soap. I wish I was kidding 😩😩 #Deciem#abnormalbeautycompany#wtf#scammed ?
I loved seeing this in my Abnormal beauty company bag today. For you who don't know who these guys are please go and see them in Covant Garden/Spitalfields. They only just pick up all the beauty awards going !!!! #seriousskincare#abnormalbeautycompany @deciem
After no sleep last night and a working Sunday I'm keeping my #bedsidebeauty minimalist tonight starting with a Pestle and Mortar Cleansing Gel followed by a quick spritz of NIOD SDSM layered with Lumity Facial Oil and sealed with Organic Nation Hydration Gel. Simple but effective 👌 #skincare#sundayskincare#skincareroutine#goodnight
Abnormal all the way. A little birdie recommended this brand. It really works and doesn't contain all the crap like garage wash cleaner; sodium lauryl sulfate which most high end luxe skincare brands contain and it will be in your shower gel unless you look at what you use. Super hydration Fantastic skincare @deciem #skin#health#mind#body#abnormalbeautycompany
I just got my @deciem #NIOD Survival 0. I know it has no sunscreen properties but lots of other good stuff. I have a habit of letting my makeup provide my sunscreen, so assumed this wil help with other environmental factors. This pic shows the color, next shows the consistency and the last pic shows how it absorbs right into the skin like water. So no problem with makeup! 😁 Got the Vit C 30% will try tomorrow. Tried it on my hand think I will like it! ❤
A post to get me back into things and also my own personal kick up the bum. Work has been hectic and I've definitely let my whole self-care routine slide in favour of collapsing on the sofa. I've got as far as Day 4 on the 30 day yoga challenge TWICE and my usual skin care routine has been reduced to quickly slapping on moisturiser and out the door. So as well as putting out there how great this brand is, it's a prod to myself to get myself back into routine. So yes The Ordinary, love, love, love as you can see, simple, no frills or false promises and you can formulate your own regime, all without breaking the bank! So a quick overview of what I use (any additions TO experts think I'm missing, let me know).
Rose Hip Seed Oil
The Ordinary is just too cakey for my dry skin. 😭 And it's not even full coverage. I might be willing to work with cakey for the price point if it were full coverage, but here we are. I've tried it with powder, setting spray, both together, or on its own and I just can't make it work. My skin is sooo dry and dehydrated right now (and I'm breastfeeding so there's not enough water in the world to revive my poor skin). Maybe I'll give it another shot in a year when I'm done breastfeeding. If you have super dry and/or dehydrated skin this might not be the foundation for you. Still a decent product and I imagine it would be great for normal to oily skin, or even if your skin is just a little dry (not Sahara desert dry). Some other foundations that are too dry for me right now include Wet n Wild Photofocus, Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour (not cruelty free), and PUR Bare It All (though this has been the nicest so far). Milani Conceal and Perfect 2-in-1 seemed to highlight all my fine lines, though it doesn't feel dry. And there is not a concealer in the world that isn't too dry for my undereyes and ruined eyelids. 😂😭 (eyelids ruined thanks to Bio Oil. Absolutely DO NOT use that product!!!!!!!)
