ON COMMUNICATION AND TODDLER MILESTONES.
Yesterday, my lil buddy and I accomplished a milestone.
You see, for a month of toddler schooling he's been crying and making tantrums every time either I or his dad leave the room. Yes he's still 2 years old that's normal haha! And to be honest part of me felt "kilig" every time he did that because it made me feel so attached to him. Haha! But then my "mommy brain" tells me that i still needed to do something about it coz apart from attachment parenting that I'm so hardcore on, I'm also trying to create a balance and develop independence in him too.
So I decided to take action. I communicated with my lil boy. Everyday I kept telling him how much I love him and how I'd always be there for him, and that there are some people he can trust too, etc etc. I had no idea if he actually got it but well yesterday he did just that. I was able to leave the room and he actually enjoyed the whole class! Hihihi! I cried of course for a sudden rush of mixed emotions. Lol. Pardon this drama queen momma.
My realization is this:
Communicating to a 2 year old may seem futile but boy they really are the smartest. They get it. Everything we say and do to them they really get it. We just have to communicate and show them that we actually mean what we say. This also applies to the general population. Sometimes we think our friends, or business partners or parents or teachers just don't get it and but all we have to do is communicate and it's not just telling them what to do but real actual communication. How productive the world would be, if we did just that. Don't you think?
Oh yes this milestone deserved gelato time! Hihi!😙😘 #mommytales#withatoddler#LIFEwithatoddler#learninglifethroughaTODDLER hahaha! #lovewhatido#momonamission#adayinthelifof#mompreneur
