Downward Dog - A foundational pose that often feels painful on the wrists. 
Next time you're in this pose look to - 
1. Spread and press down into your fingers. 
2. Straighten the arms and set the arms bones back
3. Look between your thighs
4. Pull your belly button in 
5. Keep knees slightly bent and push into the heels. 
Engaging the shoulders, core, and legs make this pose easier to hold for longer and get the benefits of length and strength in the muscles.

Today I was so ready to do this new variation of Mer pose (Pyramid in Kemetic Yoga) or Ado Mukha Svanasana inspired by the flex @victoria.arvizu. Everything brought me to the garden and i was so glad to walk barefoot, put my hands in the grass too, hold the roots of Mahogany tree to perform this pose, It seems so easy until you try, it took some time to find balance and stand like this. The stretch feeling was totally different, even hard to locate in my physical body.

Personally I am not fan of Yoga challenge, especially the daily pictures cause you are the yogi and photograph and it may seem so narcissistic to post photo of you every day. However I really appreciated how my personal practice is moving and changing. How I am more attentive to details, the positions of my head, arms, legs, the lines, what can I correct the next time, what I need to improve. I also film the sequences and it is a great mean to auto-correct the poses and movements.

Why are we spending so long here!’ And like anything, with practice, it got easier. What was difficult became effortless. Because I stuck with it and kept breathing. Seems easy but I got hyper extended arms so I gotta micro bend the elbows. 
The very FIRST Yoga teacher who told me that I got hypertension is Kru Candy @candynisa22 long time ago and I am still glad she told me that. Otherwise, I might be able to do yoga for 5-10 years. Tops. So much grateful🙏🙏🙏🙏

There are two Sūrya Namaskāra or Sun Salutation sequences that Ashtanga Vinyasa series are incomplete without. These two sequences A and B  remain the same through all the different series, they allow you to truly connect your body and breath, the postures will become familiar and you can flow through them without thinking, allowing your body to be moved by your breath. In this video I show you the A version, It is a combination of 9 postures executed in flow with breath first & movement. In #adomukhasvanasana we usually stay 5 #ujjayi breath. I always start teaching my classes with them to warm up the body.  It can also be used as a complete excercise in itself because if it is done fast, it provides a good cardiovascular workout.  If done at a slower pace, these postures help tone the muscles and can relax the system and meditative.

#sunsalutation tones and stretches the muscles, massages the inner organs, and helps to relieve constipation, speeds up the metabolism and helps to reduce weight.

This Asana, copied from the stretching movement of a dog, is a very comfortable and strengthening posture for your whole body. 
In the yogic tradition it is the center part of the Suria Namaskaram (sun salutation), wich is the basic warm up of many  styles, like Hatha or Ashtanga Yoga. 
Practise everyday and after your workouts, to stay flexible and release tension of back and legs: 💫
Best to get in from #bhujangasana. .
1)Go over your knees, stretch legs and press your heels into the floor
.
2) Keep the belly gently in, to increase stability in your asana (and not to trouble your spine).
.
3) Hips are moving towards the sky. .
4)Release neck and rotate your upper arms a little bit outward .
.
5) Deep #breathing in pelvis, watch your breath travelling your whole spine and enjoy the stretch. .
🙏Hold as long as you feel comfortable.
