Last week #ontheblog I shared 10 #Gut & #Hormone#Supplements (I take). This one, #Adrenal Glandular is one.
(This one is powerful, so please do not take it without consulting with your doctor first. Yes, even if you can just buy it on your own.) First. What is it? 3 capsules provide the equivalent of one-quarter once of fresh, raw whole adrenal and one-quarter once of fresh raw whole liver. It is used for those with adrenal, hormonal and other fatigue issues. For me, it was a game changer. I was taking 3 for quite some time but I was way too wired. I was naturally waking up around midnight and then 3-4 am and staying up for the day. It was not good for me, so I reduced down to 2 (my doctor said I’d need 2-3, and she told me to monitor it). But taking 2 first thing in the morning has been amazing (now I only wake up around 4 am each morning and that’s perfectly okay with me.) Who do trust to give you health and wellness info? Who do you follow? Just curious. As for me, I love listening to what my colleagues @betterbydrbrooke and @larabriden have to say as well as Chris Kresser, @kellybroganmd and OG of women's health @drchristianenorthrup. What about you? Let me know in the comments. 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
When the endocrine (adrenal glands, etc) are put under continual stress day after day, week after week, month after…you get my point, our endocrine system becomes very tired and warn out. Usually what happens is most of the glands begin to produce less and less of what they normally do in order to create balance within the system.
Said it before…you can’t be hypothyroid (regulates the burning of fuel) without being hypo adrenal (regulates the availability of that fuel).
Time line…chronic stress – decreases the livers ability to store glycogen and clear excess estrogen – excess estrogen stimulates the stress reaction but also increases Thyroid Binding Globulin (TBG). TBG is a protein that thyroid hormone is attached to in the body.
When TBG is high more thyroid hormone becomes bound to it…its inactive. This usually shows up in a lab as low FREE T3 and or T4.
The illusions of #hypothyroidism .
Hormones of the #Adrenal Glands We can now learn how stress affects the various regions and zones of the adrenal glands. There are two adrenal glands, one at the top of each kidney. The adrenal glands produce a specific amount of very important hormones on a daily basis to promote general health, and maintain the processes involved in homeostasis. The amount of those hormones changes due to a response to stress. Each adrenal gland has two different regions, the adrenal cortex and the adrenal medulla.
The adrenal medulla is the innermost core of the adrenal gland, which produces and releases the hormones #epinephrine and #norepinephrine . These two hormones are also known as adrenalin and noradrenaline respectively, and are also referred to as catecholamines or as neurotransmitters, because small amounts are also produced by the nervous system. The amount of epinephrine and norepinephrine that are released may be increased by different forms of #stress .
The adrenal cortex is the outermost layer, which makes steroid hormones such as #progesterone , #DHEA and #cortisol . The amount of cortisol and DHEA may initially be increased by different forms of stress, but the levels my decrease if stress is prolonged or too intense.
The zona glomerulosa produces hormones with #mineralocorticoid activity such as #aldosterone , a steroid hormone that affect electrolyte levels and can causes water and sodium retention, and loss of potassium. #Pregnenolone and #progesterone are also made in this region, which is significant because even progesterone has some mild mineralocorticoid activity.
The zona fasciculate produces glucocorticoids such as cortisol, which is famous for being the “stress hormone”. The zone reticularis produces androgens such as #DHEA , and #androstenedione , which can both act as precursors for sex hormones.☄️Aloha 🏄🏽💪🏼💫
#endocrino#endocrinologia#adrenal#suprarrenal#grupodeestudosepesquisasemadrenal#adrenalemfoco#suprarrenalemfoco#foconaadrenal#foconasuprarrenal#medicina#fundão#UFRJ#endocrinofundão#endocrinoUFRJ#riodejaneiro#brasil
I just received an amazing massage from Michael @greenleafmassage Lafayette, CO!!!! Exactly what I needed! He did an amazing job! I highly recommend him!! I decided I needed a little TLC. 💕💕 #Adrenal Fatigue #adrenalfatiguerecovery
Look what my hubby ordered for me! He knows me well.... although I think it's partly for him as he drinks sole daily. While you don't need a "starter" to make your own, this one has large chinch of salt so is super pretty!
If you aren't familiar with the benefits of sole or how to make it, check out my post with the video I did on FB live on my website (no Facebook account required).

#endocrino#endocrinologia#adrenal#suprarrenal#grupodeestudosepesquisasemadrenal#adrenalemfoco#suprarrenalemfoco#foconaadrenal#foconasuprarrenal#medicina#fundão#UFRJ#endocrinofundão#endocrinoUFRJ#riodejaneiro#brasil

The Beauty & The Beast
Did you know #electromagnetism coming from electric towers are one of the main causes of high #stress level, #adrenal fatigue, #cortisol rise, #insulin resistance, gain #weight , #thyroid imbalances, morning #fatigue , #headaches , #migraines , lower #backpain & much more! It basically interferes with the energy fields flowing within our multiple body layers by sending different vibrations that blocks the free circulation of the #Qi (vital energy) & damages our #DNA when exposed to for a short to long period of time depending of the inner strength of the person. By exemple two persons could be exposed to the same electromagnetic fields and not react the same way to it. Sensitive & emotional people (#empath ) are usually more affected by these type of waves. Sometimes, the problem is right out there, posted in your backyard 😉👍! #getyourpowerback
Why is Dr. Tami’s Get Glowing Liver Cleanse different?
After looking for a great liver cleanse for my patients, I found that most liver cleanses took you through only phase one of the liver detox system. This leaves you in a place with even more dangerous toxins than when you started. I created a comprehensive system that ensures you have all the ingredients, and uses all parts of your body, to aiding in cleaning and clearing toxins. You will feel (and look) lighter, clear headed and your skin will glow when you are finished.

In times of #stress , making the time to get centered, relax, and breathe out some of the worry (if only for a little while) can be one of the healthiest and most productive things you can do for yourself. Whether through #meditation , a #mindfulness practice, or #yoga , this kind of activity (or inactivity as it may be) stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, the relaxation response that allows our bodies to rest, digest, cry, and go to the bathroom - all super important processes that get sidelined by the #cortisol and #adrenaline of our fight-or-flight sympathetic nervous system. That sympathetic “survival instinct” is truly what helps us get through facing awful things, making our response times faster and our thinking momentarily clearer. But the longer it is activated, the more harm it actually does to our #adrenal systems, response times, and clarity of thought. We need to invoke that parasympathetic side to recharge, no matter who we are.
Northern California is on fire. The destruction is ongoing with homes destroyed, people and animals displaced, and first responders holding the line for 40+ hours. The whole Bay Area is standing together, volunteers mobilized, ready and wanting to do more. Let us do all that we can with actions, but also sit with those affected directly and indirectly to find the “inaction” that will allow the path forward to get a little clearer and a little easier to bear. If you want to donate money at this time, there are a number of options, a few of their URLs posted below. The last one also gives an option to register as a volunteer.
Day 1 or One Day...you decide?!? Today is my Day 1 of Clean Week (needed to back off piyo, my hips still hurt) and I've been facing the truth the I haven't been drinking/eating 100% like I should...life has just gotten BUSY and what do us moms do many times, well, we put ourself and our needs last. So, today is my Day 1 of really focusing on my water intake and making sure I don't skip my own meals when running short on time (usually in the mornings and lunchtime)! Draw your own line in the sand and stop with the "one day" thoughts and make today Day 1 (for whatever it is for you)!! #workingout#beachbody#cleanweek#core#water#getmoving#fitnessjourney#sahm#adrenal#thyroid#adrenalfailure#fitmom#fitnessjourney#fitinspired

#endocrino#endocrinologia#adrenal#suprarrenal#grupodeestudosepesquisasemadrenal#adrenalemfoco#suprarrenalemfoco#foconaadrenal#foconasuprarrenal#medicina#fundão#UFRJ#endocrinofundão#endocrinoUFRJ#riodejaneiro#brasil
I didn't want to believe that our foods are nutrient depleted but now I do. Nutrient depleted foods = nutrient depleted bodies. Symptoms? Fatigue, gut and intestinal discomfort, cravings, irritability, memory fog, and disease.
If you're like me, shopping can be overwhelming and frustrating. I was so confused with what to buy that I would get whatever was on sale (boxed, processed stuff) and then hit the coffee shops and fast food places to get by. Weight crept up along with a feeling of helplessness.
I finally got to a point where enough was enough. I had to make a change and in 2016 I took a leap of faith. My skepticism was still lurking but I'm so grateful that I didn't listen to it. Nutritional rebalancing is the real deal! Gluten free, soy free, no artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners or additives. Along with great nutrition, I've got an incredible support of peeps that kept me accountable and gave me hope.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Tired of repeating yesterday? Changes can be made with the right nutrition and support. The hardest part is reaching out. I am here. Let's talk.

This case is from a Yorkshire. As soon as I saw this amount of gallbladder sludge I checked the adrenals size (In this case both were increased). Why? Many cases of pituitary dependent hyperadrenocorticism (HAC), due to hypercotisolism, increase the amount of gallbladder sludge and may also lead to mucocele.
Note: 1.Abdominal ultrasound evaluation should always be as complete as possible.
2. Ultrasonography cannot be used to establish a diagnosis of HAC, it is a complementary test.
3. Finding normal adrenal glands on imaging studies does not rule out HAC.
