Day 2: The reality of everyday lunch is similar to this + features less than perfect photos. Either meal prep ahead of time or soup is such an easy way to use up old Veg + add in things from pantry. A big part of why I chose to start this challenge is to create less food waste. Plus I had some leftover bread that was going to go old soon, so I turned that into croutons to finish off this soup tomorrow. Soup of the day: celery, onion, carrot, thyme, pesto tortellini, Veg broth, spices. #cook10#thymeofmylife
I have seen many pictures of Nainital where a couple of boats to many, in their vibrant colors, are featured with the lake and the hills in the background. And every time I see a picture like that, I cannot help but wonder, how is it that this subject, the colorful boats with the lake and the hills, finds its way to the minds of so many people? And, also, why do so many photographers try to capture the same?
It’s not that I have something against the subject, or the choice of the photographers; I like the finished product. Sometimes I even exclaim at the extraordinary pictures…
However, the appeal of the subject, to me, as a photographer, had eluded me. Or so I thought… until recently, when I discovered this picture among the others I had taken on an evening shoot. Even though my main subjects aren’t the two boats in the foreground, the picture comes close, in my opinion. Is it not strange how the subconscious works?
There are things, I think, that just are.
With all this dang snow we just received, I cannot help but reminisce about summer :D
