Many put the label of self righteous upon the Christian, though the true definition of self righteousness is: "I did it my way." My life, my rules, self accomplished, self blessed, self motivated, selfie, yes me, self driven, myself and I. That beloved, is self righteousness, a righteousness based upon (self) (man) and not upon God. If you have no need for God, perhaps, you are self righteous. (Isaiah 59:16) "He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm achieved salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him."
Biri bizleri yaratan,
Biri de sizlerin yarattığı.
Bizi yaratan hakkında bir şey bilmiyorum ama,
Sizin yarattığınız tıpkı sizin gibi.
Küçük, yalancı, hastalıklı, boş vaatler veren,
Zenginlere öncelik veren,
Fakirleri sırada bekleten...
Övgü aldığında mutlu olan,
Küçük şeylerle insanları korkutan.
Bizi yaratan Tanrı'ya inanın, ona güvenin.
Kendi yarattığınız sahte tanrıları ise yok edin.".... #aamirkhan#pk#film#teoloji#ateist#ateizm#deist#deizm#agnostic#agnostizm#felsefe_#felsefe#sosyoloji#kitap#sinema#toplum#filmönerisi#oku#düşün#yaz#sorgula
I stopped posting about the things we we’re doing for the #LightTheWorld challenge because I didn’t feel good about it. Haha. We like to keep our good deeds private. BUT I will say the girls have been LOVING using @thesmallseed #adventcalendar form of the challenge.
I thought it would be good for them to give than to receive. #tistheseason#HeIsTheReason We’ve been reading the scripture that goes along with the challenge and it’s made a difference in our morning routine. The girls take turns putting an ornament on the tree and we focus on the challenge for the remainder of the day. I highly recommend the Light The World campaign—even if you’re not Mormon. The Bible scriptures talk about Jesus and His ministry. If you are #agnostic or an #atheist I recommend it too. You can focus on the good deed for the day. It will literally light up your day and change your life. 💜😘
Believing in a fairy tale because it gives you comfort or makes you happy isn’t honest. I firmly believe a lot of atheists suffer from depression because they have a better grasp of reality and it takes longer to digest this. This is actually a personal story of mine but I changed it up a little in order to make it more relatable. I am not saying non believers can’t be happy. I am saying it is dishonest to defend religion by saying it makes us happy, or it gives us morals (it does not). #religion#santaclaus#christianity#bible#atheism#agnosticatheist#agnostic
Спокойно :) это просто декорирование дома своими руками и выработка своих традиций. И я все ещё агностик и скептик 🤔 #handmade#agnostic#vscocam
Day 11 of 30: A friend of mine lent me this book so that I could start getting a formal knowledge of the ins and outs of socialism. For the most part, I haven't been able to read it because I've had so many things on my plate. I've finally finished up the last of my finals this semester though, so there's nothing stopping me from starting.
And yet, I do feel a little fear. Back when I came to the full knowledge that my beliefs did not align to Christianity, it scared me, even still, to let go of it. It was scary because as much as I disagreed with a lot of the doctrine, it was something that I knew at a nearby molecular level. Once I acknowledged to myself that I wasn't a christian though, the world opened up. I was able to enjoy learning about other religions and philosophies, and I was able to objectively see the good and bad in Christianity.
The same goes for socialism. From what I know so far, I know I care for it over capitalism. However, it is scary to embark upon and accept a new belief that goes against the grain.
Therefore tonight im reading the first chapter. Time to face this fear.

(Moral argument part 2).
"For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law are a law unto themselves: which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the meanwhile accusing or else excusing one another." Romans 2:14-15(KJV) Aprox date: A.D 57. .
So, for two thousand years or so, The Bible has clearly stated that all mankind can know morality without specifically "believing" in Jesus Christ/God. As Dr Graig states, atheists and skeptics have misunderstood the Moral argument and the arguments in defense of each premise of the Moral argument. The question is and has never been about epistemology--how we know morality-- it is about Ontology---Why does the Moral law exist? And who or what imposes such values and duties on humanity? If not God then what person or persons has enough authority to dictate to the rest of us how we ought to live?
